EAC authentication issue
I have been experiencing a persistent "Failed anticheat authentication" error in Apex for about a week. The game usually lets me play for a short time (10–20 minutes) but then kicks me, especially when I’m in the menu/lobby screen. In-game lag and connectivity are generally fine during matches.
My setup:
- PC (Windows 11)
- Ethernet connection
Everything I have already tried (multiple times):
- Verified game files in Steam
- Deleted and repaired EasyAntiCheat folder / ran Repair Service
- Ran qa-factory-reset on EasyAntiCheat_EOS
- Full clean reinstall of Apex Legends on Steam
- Reinstalled all Visual C++ Redistributables (clean uninstall + fresh install)
- Rolled back graphics driver
- Disabled all overlays (Discord, NVIDIA, Steam, Xbox Game Bar)
- Ran the root certificate fix (certutil -generateSSTFromWU commands)
- Performed full network reset commands (netsh winsock reset, netsh int ip reset, etc.)
- Restarted router, PC, and ran as Administrator
- Switched data centers in-game
None of these have resolved the issue. The game worked fine until about a week ago.
