r5apex.exe never exits and cannot be killed

Actually, it's a bit of issue. This also happens to me. Reboot helps, but it's not a permanent solution. It prevents from restarting the game from Steam. Files verified and no issues. Also noticed that the System node uses 20% more CPU afterwards, which is strange. This happened after the latest update. I suspect it's EAC, does it run at kernel level already? If so, there might be a bug.
When i leave apex from steam (any way) it still runs in task manager and can't stop it so if i have lag or something i need to restart my pc to rejoin on apex.
I tried verify integrity of game files and i don't wanna reinstall apex (too much work 🙂) )

I reached an helper from EA he told me that ya should delete steam then cache and install steam again (maybe because my brain didn't function I had to install all games again but might be just because of me )

I have the same issue here that just started happening within the past few days.
The only recent significant changes are Windows 11 KB5020044 update and Nvidia driver 527.37.
I tried reverting to 526.98 but the problem still occurs so doesn't seem to be due to the latest driver.
This is crazy be cause I have a 13900K and logical core 1 (2nd thread on core 0) is stuck at 100% causing my fans to go nuts and temperatures to shoot up.
After exiting the game, r5apex.exe is stuck running and I can't even kill the task. I literally have to restart my PC. And of course, Steam thinks the game is still running too.
I've stopped playing this stupid game because of it.
