Something must've updated or maybe with the release of the WinterTide event something changed, and so far (after a few hour of Apex) I haven't run into the same issue again.

i have also played 2 hours and so far seems to close and not be in the processes background i will play some more then give another update but so far it's fixed....

Hello,
I've the same issue since severals months and seasons ago.. I'm really tired of this problems, because I've to restart my computer at each time for kill the process r5apex.exe that use CPU as hell...
I tried severals things and "solutions" but any one really works.. the issue always come back after one or two reboots.
Please Respawn, FIX IT ASAP. - 3 years agoIn my case it was solved by removing the USB audio speaker from the PC.

Imagine having only a USB headset and having this issue. Playing the game without sound would be... different.

Wow I found so many threads about this, still the 1 core being stuck at 100% not been fixed. PLEASE HELP
