I am experiencing exactly the same issue. im 250down, 100up, very stable optic cable internet from Telekom, Germany.
I have never had this problem before Season 6.
I do not believe that this is net issue as I have ran through your troubleshoot program and I will attach the file here with the data from the test.
As soon as I would alt tab mid game and try to go back I will experience this huge packet loss where people skip infront of me for a full meter and its unplayable.
I also cannot leave this game as its stuck on leave game. I wouldn have to alt F4 and come back in the game. Many itimes i get this issue even without alt tabbing.
I reinstalled the game, tried playing through VPN, have no AV or any other software and I am clueless on how to get this resolved.
Thank you for any tip that will lead me and everyone else to a solution.

Unfortunately I don't have the IP address of any of the servers to test the connection directly to them. Have you both checked to make sure the recommended ports for Apex Legends are open on your network? You can find more details about the specific ports over at the EA Help website. I'd recommend giving that a shot if you haven't already.

I have already forwarded those ports but it didn't solve the issue for me.
1 game on 2 on ranked is packet loss, 1 on 2, I've played hours regular games, 1 issue only but ranked, constent. So It is not something to open or i don't know what. You have a serious issue.
Hello, I also have the same exact problem. Once in a while I get a match with heavy packet loss, completely unplayable, then I get stuck on returning to lobby screen and have to manually quit.
I got in contact with chat support too but we didn't find any solution. I tried everything mentioned in troubleshooting and more, I'm in Italy and got a good connection, every other game works fine, no packet loss at all, ping is good.
Did a trace on other companies servers like overwatch and valorant, 0 packet loss. It happens on every Apex server I tried in Europe.
I think is something server or netcode related on EA part, because I can't find anything wrong here or in my ISP.
If it can be useful to compare, I am on Windows 10 latest update, bitdefender antivirus.

Thanks everyone for the updates. Have you also tried setting a different DNS in Windows to see if that makes any difference?
You can change the DNS through the Windows TCP/IP Settings. For more info on how to get there check out the Microsoft Support website. If you select Manual you can enter a DNS of your choosing. I often use the public Google DNS (primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4), but if there's a different public DNS you would rather use instead that would be OK as well.
