Ranked rewards no longer for highest rank reached?

Did this change? made masters pretty much every season since season 9, got masters late this season and deranked one of the last days since I thought it didn't matter. But only got diamond rewards so...

Same problem. Hit masters 5 weeks before season end and kept playing knowing Id hit it and ended Diamond 1. Only got diamond rewards.
