Re: Account Falsely Banned

@PartTimeWarrior7
Anything interesting in your EAC logs by chance? C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\EasyAntiCheat\

I'll also add 2 more 7900XT(X) users to the false ban pile in the last 48hr although it might just be a coincidence they also recently played with RGB stuff that has been known to be flagged in the past for being unpatchable/exploitable. Have you used anything else recently for RGB parts besides Synapse?

    I checked the folder where you said it would be and have 2 folders from 09/24/2023 and from 10/10/2023.

    Checked the notepads and got nothing weird. They all said the same thing about connecting to the EAC service. Then it loads and exits with no warning or anything to indicate something is wrong.

    Gotcha, thanks for checking.
    The whole situation sucks bad, and I hate to have to hope someone with a real big voice is affected soon so these cases can get the real attention they deserve. So far everyone who I have seen share specs are on RX 7900s and might have used some RGB stuff, but disproportionally players who have been around for years and never even acted toxic are being hit with no warning and no second chance when you know there is 0 evidence behind this of legit cheating impacting a match i.e. gaining an unfair advantage. I hope that is true for everyone. At any rate they are the ones speaking up and I'm invested because my most favorite squad mate was hit and I kid not my final parts for a 7900 build arrive today and I'm scared to even play.

    It's extremely disheartening to have to worry about my choice of hardware if it's causing a false positive in widely used Anti-Cheat software..

    Or any other program that could be getting hit and causing this. I'm worried about playing any game with EAC now since this seems to be what is happening to me and increasingly many others.

    Hope your issue gets fixed. Happened to me last night on a brand new rx7700xt (merc 319) and if id known this was gonna be an issue it just might have made me think about a different card lol. Shane apex/EAC can't get their stuff together about this kinda issue.

  • @yyyyatoxIf this thread does not get locked like the others I will for sure post any updates here like if my brand new system gets hit too. Either I play and accept the risks and end up banned, or don't play because I am too scared the result is the same so I feel I must try.

    I have a feeling if this was prompted by an AMD driver then it might already be hot fixed form their end and EAC/Respawn/EA need to communicate and do some retroactive unbanning which if they are collecting the specs in disputes should be easy to sus out one would hope. I am not familiar with the process myself having not been affected (yet) though I don't have high hopes unless someone with hideouts ear also falls victim which is a [edited] thing to have to wish for.

    This is all assuming there is not some common thread of third-party RGB software being flagged which is possible that everyone just happens to have high end AMD cards. Still though for you to be given no second chance because of that is super lame. It must be worth it to detect other real cheaters and sweep up legit long time loyal players in the process because it is a numbers game and the bean counters won't notice unless it is super widespread.

    edit: censor bad word, typos
