- @lowkey_lowki I don't have easyanticheat.sys. could it be in another directory?
UPDATE to my previous answer.
While it seemed to have been fixed for me after doing what I said, it has started being a problem again yesterday. Excactly the same as before. CPU spikes super high for a few minutes when loading up Apex and lags the whole PC out.
- @fowl_owo i'm pretty sure its a problem on their end because it was working perfectly fine before season 5
- @Faayyde And probably won't get fixed soon, just like the fixes to servers, noregs etc. ☹️
Might as well post specs to find out common threads. Is everyone running on windows 10?
- @SerialTurd I don't think specs are a problem because as i said the game was working completely fine before season 5 even with the anti cheat and windows defender still running, and yes to your question.
- @Faayyde I agree but I'm just thinking of down the line when a dev finally looks at this thread. I can imagine one of the first questions they'd ask is what OS is everyone running.
I would assume most are running Windows 10 by now.
At least I am.
Hardware specs are here https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/7V3p3t
- @SerialTurd Good point
I got the problem before season 5 for me, but i thought it was a WINDOWS 10 problem. But now, i'm taking a look when i'm launching the game and indeed i get the same CPU spike problem.
CPU Usage 100%, computer become slow during 1 minute.
It's really annoying, there is no problem into other games...
EDIT : I fixed the issue with adding %appdata% Roaming Easy Anti Cheat exclusion into Windows Defender / Apex directory and Easy Cheat directory. After a computer restart, it seems to work.
I'm still having the same issues. I've excluded origin, origin games, the easycheat folder in apex, in program files and in %appdata%. I still get 100% cpu utilization when launching Apex. Annoying!
- @SerialTurd Have you found a fix yet? Im having the same exact problem, been running find through every other season. After this season update EAC seems to have started spiking my CPU i have tried aboslutely everything to even reinstalling windows :/
- @Lalatakuu No, nothing yet.
still have the problem, add all file sys and exe mentioned in the exluded list but nothing change...
The win10 antimalware slow down my PC 😠
Finally i still got this problem -_- Great apex devs.
Man, this is a boring issue i'm getting till the beginning of S5, the same problems and i tried all the tips i've found in the internet.... DEVS PLEASE, TAKE A LOOK AT THAT!!!!!!!!
- @EL-Lucky_Loco i swear it's so annoying yeah ! and no CM able to reply to its thread -_- !
JESUS!!! i just got the * Blue screen from windows, because this bug, if this don't get some attention from the devs i will need to leave the game, this is making bad issues to my pc.....
Same here... I don't know what is actually eating my cpu. When i open the game just Apex seems to be 95-100 % cpu usage. When i am playing sometimes "System" uses 15-20%. That is also annoying too. And apex uses 65-95 in-game. That is so annoying. Im so tired looking at the fixes. i5 10300h gtx 1650ti btw.
My setup is almost like yours i have a i5 7400 and a gtx 1060 6gb MSi, and 16gb RAM @odahvinng
- @EL-Lucky_Loco #how much is your cpu usage in game ?
- @odahvinng 96% with i5 8600k for me
- @Ff3NiXx yea mine too
without the bug in a normal run is between 20%-40% in the bug 79%-98%. @odahvinng
When i get the bug, i open the task manager and finish apex, then i open it again, this fix the game for that run, but when i close the game, the next time i need to open it and close and open again then is playable again.
This is a way i've find to play, this maybe can be useful for you guys, but isn't A FIX, just a bug in the bug xD
I disable the Real-time protection, it say it's temporary but seems and still work.
If somone else can test this way..
