Re: Apex Legends cross progression made me lose everything

Hey @CornyTheSneal,

Checking back over things here, I'm actually seeing your Xbox account was linked to this EA account just after we announced Cross Progression last October.

Prior to that it appears to have been on a different EA account, which is where that progress would still be stored.

Progress is saved at the EA account level, not individual platforms like Xbox/Steam. This is why you're not seeing the items from your Xbox account as they're still back on the original EA account.

Progress cannot be transferred from one EA account to another, so unlinking a platform will result in the loss of that progress rather than transferring it over to a separate account.

You can try re-linking the Xbox account to its original EA account to restore access to those items, though it won't be possible to combine the progress on your Steam and Xbox accounts since those were earned on separate EA accounts. If you run into any trouble relinking an account, please get in touch with support so they can take a look.

I'm actually seeing that you're in the same situation here with your PlayStation account. That appears to have been linked to the current EA account shortly after our Cross Progression announcement, though as that was originally linked to a different EA account, your progress would still be back on the original account instead.

This would be why the content isn't appearing on this EA account - it was earned on a different EA account and cannot be transferred or combined.

You would also need to re-link your PSN to the original EA account if you're trying to restore access to that progress.

  • Oh. I’ll definitively try to get in contact with support to help me out on this. Thanks so much for the insight. I thought it was gone forever. What should I have done to have my pc account linked to my ps account?

I had just switched to pc but i had created another account to play on pc, as i didnt know you could have more than one platform on a ea account. Been playing on pc for a few months so I wouldn’t want to lose both progress. If it comes to it I’ll definitely prefer having my ps account 😅

    Happy to clarify, @Guardian_of_yeul!

There is not a way to transfer your progress across multiple EA accounts sadly.

If you have two different EA accounts with progress on each, you'd need to either leave them separate or decide which progress you'd prefer to keep and link your platforms to that EA account.
  • Ok thank you! By any chance do you know which EA account the Xbox progress is on and maybe the email address, please and thank you! If not it’s completely ok I can look around for the account!

Sorry @CornyTheSneal, we wouldn't be able to share that type of account information on the forums.

If you don't recall the account or find you no longer have access to the registered email, I'd speak with support directly. They'll be able to speak about the account details in more depth after verifying some info with you. 🙂

  • Ok that is fine, can I contact support directly to get the account email please? :3

    @CornyTheSneal

Absolutely you can, feel free to use the link in my original post to open a new case and get started!

  • Hi again, I was wondering what would happen if I logged into Apex without my Xbox account linked to the original EA account (I did find it). Would I lose all my progress or would I be fine and have all my stuff?
