@EA_AljoWired, I have reset the Mac, changed the DNS, and fully reset the Xbox and router. I can't do qos or firmware update cause my router/internet provider doesn't allow me to .

You may want to look into getting your own modem and router. That often provides for a much better connection and it gives you a lot more freedom with managing your router settings. Have you tried alternate DNS settings? If not, try these steps. From the Xbox One screen, go to Settings > Network > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Manual. (If Settings doesn't appear on the home screen, select My Games & Apps, then Settings). From there, enter the Primary DNS as "208.67.222.222" and the Secondary DNS as "208.67.220.220". If that doesn't help, try using the google DNS servers which are: primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - secondary alt number 8.8.4.4.
- @EA_Aljo I have already changed DNS settings

Sorry about that. Do you have a PC by chance? If so let’s find out how your connection is reaching our servers. Can you run a UO Trace and screenshot the results? Instructions are here.

13 ms is a bit high for a worst connection to the router when wired. Did you run this on a wireless connection by chance? Also, what country are you in?
- @EA_Aljo Yes wired. USA

You're getting a bit high starting with the 6th hop. While the connection to your router isn't exactly bad, it should still be in the single digits for the worst ping. Can you run the test one more time? I'd like to compare the 2. Thanks!

Thanks. The router connection is better. It's fluctuating. Which is pretty normal, but your pings are staying within acceptable limits. It gets a bit high as you get closer to the sever. That's normal also since the test server is most likely across the country from you. Can you try opening the ports for Apex. They are listed here. Chances are good you could use a modem and router upgrade though. You're pretty limited with not having access to editing the settings. Not having QoS can also mean your router isn't really good for gaming.
- @EA_Aljo no clue how to do the port thing to be honest. Do you have a recommended modem & router?

You can google the instructions for opening ports. There's some good help as well at www.portforward.com. As far as a recommended modem and router goes, there's a lot of options and it really depends on what your budget is. I imagine there's some good information online for gaming network equipment.
- @EA_Aljo here’s a video of example of it occurring in game, it happens on next gen consoles too.

- iLLNaStyOne4 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@ANG3LxOFxDEATH7 That link says Xbox One... The guy in the comment does say it happened to him on PS5 though.
So frustrating this isn’t being looked in to. There are so many posts on Reddit talking about the same issues.
it isn’t a connectivity issue.
- @ANG3LxOFxDEATH7 Thank you for sharing this video. It was exactly why I started this thread. This exact lag/stutter happens every game, multiple times a game, especially during gun fights (obviously not ideal). I've seen that this has been happening for some people for a long time, but I think a lot of us this started happening a lot after the launch of season 9.

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. I've passed this information on to the appropriate teams. I really don't know if/when I'll have some news on this, but the issue has been reported.
- @EA_Aljo thanks for the feedback my man
Thanks @EA_Aljo . Good to know it has been reported at least.
- @EA_Aljo Thanks for the offer but I don't really need the troubleshooting tips as I rely on the internet speed test (download , upload, multiplayer etc) on my Xbox One,PS4 & PS5 before attempting to play any online multiplayer games like Apex,Fortnite,COD,Rocket League,Dead by Daylight etc.I also check the server status on regularly (before playing Apex) on Apexlegendstatus.com.It's kind of poignant that of all the multiplayer games I play Apex for me seem to have the worst performing servers of the lot.I've been a regular Apex player since Season 1 started but Season 6 was when game server issues was more & more apparent & hey-ho 3 Seasons later the servers are just as bad or probably worse.I certainly agree with other players that have commented about Cross-Play affecting the servers.A lot of my mates were regular Apex players up until Season 7 but like me kept suffering server issues where the game became pretty much became unplayable on a regular basis. Most of them ended up deleting the game moving onto something else.I still have a a few mates that try & play the game every now & then & like me hold on to the faint hope of things improving (probably through blind loyalty) as we all pretty much agree that on its day Apex has always been one of the best online shooters. If I'm honest having not been able to play the game properly for over 4 weeks now (& the lag spikes that occur regularly on low ping games)my gut tells me we'll all be having the same discussions about servers issuea over the next few seasons.

Speed isn't really the issue though. There are many other reasons a connection can have problems so relying on a speed test most definitely isn't recommended. It's sort of like taking a racecar on a road full of potholes. Sure, the car is fast, but you need a flat road to use all that speed. Regardless, as I previously said, I've reported this issue so we'll have to see what happens.
- @illnastyone If your referring to my comment about performance issues on the PS5 I was merely commenting that even on the next gen consoles we are suffering effectively the same server performance issues like on the last gen consoles like Xbox One & PS4 .I was an Apex player on both Xbox One & PS4 since the start of Season 1 up until Season 8 & I certainly believe Cross-Play has affected server issues across the formats that just hasn't been rectified.Even though I stopped playing Apex on the PS4 in favour of the PS5 (when I got it 5+ weeks ago) I have tried playing Apex on the Xbox One whenever I have had performance/server issues on the PS5 & it is pretty much just as bad.
- @EA_Aljo So what you are saying is if I had a slow internet ie Connection Speed (download) at 2Mbps & a Connection Speed (upload) at 1Mps I could still play the game pretty smoothly providing that my slow performing car is driving on a smooth piece of road. And by using your car analogy if my racecar is represented by a fast internet connection then surely what is does the road full of pot-holes represent the game servers doesn't it!.
Are you also suggesting that the console speed tests are pretty much irrelevent or Apexlegendstatus.com & their regular ping updates across the formats aren't accurate. - EA_Aljo4 years ago

I'm not saying speed is irrelevant. Obviously, you need decent speed, but just having high speed doesn't guarantee a stable connection. For example, a fast connection over wireless isn't going to be as stable as the same speed on a wired connection.
