Re: Cross Progression - Lost Steam Data

Your Steam account would have been linked to an EA account the first time you tried to launch Apex or another EA title requiring an EA account. That will be the case whenever you see this notice on a Steam page.

It looks like the Steam account was just recently linked to this current EA account, so any progress you had made would have been kept on that previous EA account instead. Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress.

The only way to potentially recover the Steam data would be to re-link your Steam account to that previous EA account. It's not possible to transfer or merge content across separate EA accounts I'm afraid.

I tried your links and ended up at the EA Cases. The only option available for account linking problems was email only help. I've only gotten the auto responses from the emails that keep repeating themselves with no help.
As seen in the file hopefully clipped to this message, I am completely unable to unlink my account back to its original EA account.
I didn't find a different area I could easily report to elsewhere.
Could you help me, or maybe give me a direct link to where I could get some help unlocking the unlinking lock.

Hey @Bigtanks117,

Since you're trying to change some information about which links are active on the account, try creating a new case here and selecting Game Support > The EA app > I want to update my EA Account information.

With those options you should be able to get in touch with the support team so they can assist further.
