Re: Cross Progression w/ Two EA Accounts

Hey @3825yaself,

Cross Progression allows you to access the content on a single EA account with any platforms connected, but I'm afraid there is not a way to transfer any content or progress from one EA account to another.

Progress is stored at the EA account level, not individual platforms like PS5 or Xbox. If you unlink one of those platforms to move it to a different EA account the content stays with the original EA account rather than moving with that platform.

Because of that, whether you unlink the Xbox to try and move it to the EA account that has your PlayStation, or unlink the PlayStation account to move that to the EA account with your older Xbox content, nothing would be transferred.

If, for example, you unlinked your PSN account and linked that to the EA account that already has your Xbox progress, you'd have access to that progress on both Xbox and PlayStation (along with any other platforms you link to that same EA account in the future), but none of the progress you've made on PlayStation would be there.

We do have a bit more information about this in our guides below, but do let me know if you have additional questions.

Now that Cross Progression is here: what you need to know

A Quick Guide to Apex Legends Cross Progression

  • Gotcha! So both consoles would have to be under the EA account I have for my Xbox since that's where the vast majority of my progress/items are. I went into my account to try and unlink my Playstation from it and, unfortunately, I am unable to do so until 04/28/2024. I believe I tried to fix this problem I stated earlier, but had no success. Is there any way to bypass this wait time so that I can get to playing Apex again? Thank you for the help!

    @3825yaself

    Always happy to help clarify!

    In this case it would be best to reach out to the support team directly to see what other options they may have available to get that linked to the intended account.

    If you create a new case here and select Game Support > The EA app > I want to update my EA Account information, you should be able to get in touch with the support team so they can assist further.
  • Okay I will check that out. One more quick question: If I delete the EA account linked to my Playstation, would that make my Playstation eligible to be linked to the other EA account related to my Xbox? I believe the only game I use EA for on my Playstation is Apex Legends and I only played it a couple times, so I don't mind losing anything I may have gained on it.

    @3825yaself,

    No, deleting an account will not automatically unlink connected platforms or change the timer on unlinking. You would want to unlink that first via support in this case.
