ima do a clean driver install and ill reply again to update you guys
Just did a clean reinstall of my drivers of the version the person above said for me to use. will fill you guys in after i play test it for a bit. just been busy with irl stuff. i want you guys to stay with me to see if this is a fix
I did a clean driver install and it worked for a few games and then stopped working. Now I'm getting different errors as well as the same one. I don't wanna roll back my drivers just to play this one game.

Actually is worked for me! I used to only able to play about 2 games-ish before it crashed when i went back into the lobby. So far i have played 3 games in a row without a single crash. Just as the other dude said, using that specific driver works. If you guys need any help or such just replay to me. ima briefly explain how i did this step by step.
1) Find the drivers that i need to reinstall. my case was version 417.71 for my gtx 1050ti notebook cause i own a laptop
2) download this driver uninstaller right here https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
3) IMPORTANT First you will want to remove ur pin on ur pc/laptop because there has been reports of windows 10 be stuck in a boot cycle because of it and not being able to log back in ever, causing you to data wipe. so remove your pin if you have one and leave only a password. Mircosoft account password works offline in safe boot FYI
4) Run the uninstaller soft ware that you downloaded, choose ur driver that you want to uninstall, then go select clean and restart (the highly recommended one)
5) After that you should be rebooted back into ur windows screen normally without safe boot on
6) open the installer after ur computer boots and then when u go to install, SELECT CUSTOM. that is where the clean install option is. If you install express install, then you will have to redo the whole process again.
7) after its done install just reboot unless it reboots u automatically and that should fix it!

If anyone is running GeForce Experience can you try disabling the Overlay feature in there and let us know if that helps out at all? Looks like this help stop crashes for BF1 players in this post below.
never had GFE installed, only downgrading to 417.71 helps me
i also have Windows xbox overlay disabled
I have disabled overlay in everything (Geforce Experience, Discord, Origin, Afterburner...) and it still crashes. I have even completely removed Geforce Expierence and Afterburner from my system and it still crashes. I have rolled all the way back to the 417.22 drivers and it still crashes. I've uninstalled the game and origin and reinstalled... still crashes... I will say that on the 417.71 and 417.22 drivers, I didn't get the Device_removed error but the Device_hung error instead... I have completely uninstalled this game and will not play it again until this is resolved... I am also getting this same crash in Anthem as well, although not as frequently. I can at least play anthem for a few hours before it crashes. Other games run just fine with the latest drivers installed. It is only these EA games that have issues (Apex & Anthem). I do not believe this is 100% a driver issue.
You need to reinstall afterburner and set the power down to 50%, I did everything like you and it failed, also if you have multi monitors unplug all but the primary.

My power is at the default setting of 0 in afterburner (cant turn it down any further) and I am not going to disconnect my other monitors as I need them (I stream on twitch). If I have to do things like that to get the game to work, Id rather just not play the game at all. That is ridiculous.
This does not help me ☹️ ill have to stick to broaderless window ☹️
Hello there,
Playing since last Februrary. Did upgrade my PC to a RTX 2080 TI and Ryzen 7 2700X
Since Nvidia driver 436.30 (436.08 and 438.15 were fine) I'm facing random crashes.
I'm currently using last nvidia drivers : 441.08.
Windows 10 is 1903 and up to date.
Gigabyte X470 Ultra Gaming BIOS is up to date
Gigabyte X470 Ultra Gaming Chipset is up to date
I'm still facing this issue. How can I capture a crash (log file ?) Is there something I can found in the W10 eventvwr ?
Regards,
Benoit.
I have the same problem since about 2 weeks constant crashes dxgi device removed ! 2080ti 3900x x570
I'm getting this same issue, and it's only related to Apex as my computer has been incredibly stable for every other game. Judging from the responses here, it seems to be a 2080ti related problem. Last night I crashed 3 times over the course of 2 hours, and over the last few days, I've lost well in excess of 200RP due to crashes alone. Recently did a completely clean install of windows to attempt to fix the issue, as it's been an ongoing problem. No dice, unfortunately.
2080ti
9900k
ASRock Phantom Gaming ITX
no overclocks or undervolts.
It's so bad that at this point, I rather play the game on my 1650 max-q equipped laptop where it's at least stable.
same here only with a 2070 super. This is another thing the devs won't comment on, and will do anything to blame your multiple thousand dollar gaming PC rather than fix.
same error to me too, 2060 RTX.
only an Nvidia card issue?
Impossible to win a single match because it will crash before.
Guys found a solution to this problem :D
first, notice the GPU of people compaining:
GTX 1070 = 1 GTX 1080 = 1 Ti 1080 = 2 Ti 2080 = 10 RTX 2060 = 2 RTX 2070 = 3 RTX 2080 = 3
All Nvidia.
The solution is simply to revert back the drivers, do a custom installation so you can choose "clean installation" (removing the old drivers)
I've reverted to 431.60 which I think it was June this year drivers.
While previously I couldn't finish a game before crashing, now I completed 5 and no problems at all :D
All Nvidia fault.
have you tried going into the game files and installing the DX folder again that might work i remember doing that a while ago
CreateTexture2D failed for Gfx_textureAsset_ResizeAndCopy on '(no degub name)' with HRESULT 0x887a0005 width: 1024 height: 1024 mips: 11 imgFormat: 0x00000048
No clue what any of this means,
I'm on a 2080ti just testing the driver you recommend
okay:
I took the second display outturned off all vsync
added -noborder -window
and moved the display from the main port to the one right beside the usbc output on the 2080ti
ill report back if this works
@mxrkis You're doing things you shouldn't have to do bro... This is clearly a driver issue.. I have a 2080 Ti and reported on the issue after driver 417.71.. Its the only one that works without issues. They know about it and do nothing... Middle of a fight... Crash... Looted up... Crash... End of game about to win... Crash... Man **** it... its been over a year with the same issue with top dollar cards... ONLY THIS GAME.... 0 issues with any other game... GG EA... GG...
People are trying to come up with weird BS that isnt a real fix...it's Source Engine for **** sake... TdrDelay... Repair game.. Uninstall... texture streaming... launch options.. changing ports on ur GPU... LIKE WUT???!?! BRUH WE HAVE 2080 TI's... LIKE GET OUT OF HERE... How about they fix the mother ******* drivers.... They want to have $$million$$ tournaments and this is going on... LMAO... Cant even fix a issue on a engine that's been out for 10+ years...
