Just wanted to chime in by saying I had constant crashing on the new map, and seemed to have fixed it by turning OBS off. Hope this helps.

Turning off Discord Overlay/OBS/Geforce Experience Instant Replay/Radeon ReLive are instigators for this bug, pretty much anything that captures audio-visual data or needs to hook into the application (such as game overlays for discord/teamspeak/skype)
Turn everything mentioned above off, thats what fixed mine.- @EllictOfficial This fix doesn't work for this issue. Nice try though...
MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner Statistics Server overlay is also causing crashes.
Ok the game just doesnt want me to play, i swear it looks intentional...
Had 3 crashes in one game, with less than 3 seconds playable before the last one, when i came back, i died (no idea why, there's no enemy near) and the ui is all messy.
Im in spec of my mate (because yes, we started the game with 1 person missing, i didnt say it before caus' its kind of a normal thing now......), and i cant see he's banner, cant see the name of poi on the map, and it feels like some things are missing (see the screenshots). I crashed 3 times in a raw, while being in Terraformer zone, if its worth anything
This is really not ok, we put money into that game, to support it because we like it and i really want to support the devs work, and i usually am on full support mod, but this really feels like you're messing with us x) its not ok to release an update with such big issues and act like it doesnt exist...
edit : i also have what looks like the same kind of freeze into crash on legend selection screen, when i have to chose and i just pass my mouth through the icons..
edit 2 : i crash on every game at least twice, and i really try hard to make sure it happens on every game.... It does. On random places and moments
We understand that’s not our fault, we understand that sometimes there are some bugs what I don’t understand is why we didn’t hear someone from EA/Respawn come here and say “hi guys you are been notice we are working on it”.

So, I had this issue only once and my mate has it every game. We tried to play 2 duos and it was totally fine. Next games was ranked and in 2-3 minutes in match after drop was freezed again.
We didn't see any relations between hero and else. And still zero feedback from devs. sad
@Uhroborosyeah, I also had this spectator bug, at this point I didn't feel like to mention it as it didn't seem to be,related. I also froze right when I was respawned, falling out of the ship.
Another thing is when I change sound output (from speaker to headphones) the game just closes itself. This was not the case before the update.
Seems like we are forced to play arenas in the meantime, until they solve the issues in br. I just played 10 matches in a row on various arena maps. So then, the problem is the new map, seems like.- @Uhroboros one game i got respawned after dying in the freeze amd i legit couldnt see things in lootboxes armor was bugged had red but it showed white. Nothing in loba shop, just nothing ui bugged everything, but i think its not related to this bug, but to some other one
So far what I've done and nothing has solve the problem :
- Repair the game on Origin- Activate directX12
- Lower almost every video settings
- Update my drivers
- Delete the assets folder
Now I have uninstall the game and waiting on it to reinstall on Origin, if that doesn't work I will try to install it through Steam to see if that help
Don't know if that can help, but when the game freeze, I see the CPU utilization going almost to 0 while the memory usage stay the same until I kill the process of the game.
Never had any problem before season 15 start, so I know it's not my computer that is the problem, also every other games I have, and I have some that use more ressources than Apex, are working fine
@Y3sS4can only agree, we're here trying to figure out if there's any way to prevent the game from freezing, meanwhile not a single word from Respawn/EA (apologies if they indeed published a comment somewhere, I just haven't seen anything yet). Ignoring a problem that seems to affect so many people (have a look at the S15 mega thread on apex reddit, there's literally hundreds of people reporting the same issue) is pretty bad customer service. Any form of acknowledgment from Respawn/EA would be appreciated at this point, even if they tell us that it might take them a while to find a solution.

I was so hype about the new season...
I see the Streamer playing and most of them don't have any Problems. I freeze so randomly.... Lets find out together what the reason is. Lets write done more information. Maybe its just a Sounddriver or whatever. Write down what version of Windows, Graphic driver version, Sounddriver.
Im on Windows 10 pro Version 21H2
Nvidia 4090 with the driver version 522.25 ( I tried also the newest version 526.47, but I saw some news about troubles with that driver so I rolledback, but I have crashes with both drivers)
Audiodriver is Realtek 6.0.9384.1

I have the Game on a SSD.
I tried out all kind of settings, yesterday I changed to windowsmode with border and it worked good for arround 1 hour till it crashed once, after first crash it crashed again and again. So after this I tought some kind of cache gets full but I dont really know hmm!

- @Damned_Lag Damn, i also have something related to sound, just since now but i thought it was coming from my computer, maybe its not ! I usely switch betwin headset/speaker with inputs, and never had problems with it, and now apex doesnt want to make the switch anymore. I have to reload the game in headset mod so i can play with headset. The input still works, with everything else, even with the game up, but its just the game's sound that wouldnt switch... I tried changing stuff with ingame settings, nothing seems to work
- @TTVMetalHead1784 i try to reinstall on origin, that doesn't work too, if you try to install that from steam i think you have the same problem ☹️

The EA Staff here are some cherry picking *. I'm watching them pick new topic single post of person having the same issues we are having and telling that user to verify/repair their game files. Mean while we got a hot topic with over 100 people having the same issue, complete and utter silence. Unbelievable.

Class action lawsuit, it's the only way.Lol idk about a lawsuit for a FTP FPS game, but they should acknowledge this, provide solutions, outside of the usual uninstall/reinstall/updates.
Before s15 Apex was working near flawlessly

need find new game for awhile coz it is respawn we taking about, fixing a zipline (north pad) need wait till season 15 no hotfix

A good consumer lawyer would be able to argue the failure to provide end user support on transactional items or goods in a free service or product being provided.
In this case, we can not play the game, and some of us have bought things in said game, and when we seek support, we did not get it, therefore are being deny access to said goods or items due to broken game.
It's the same idea that we pre-paid for gasoline and but the pump is free to public use, we didn't pay for the pump but we can't get the gas because the pump doesn't work. When you go inside to ask the gas station attendant and he doesn't help you at all and doesn't give you a refund.
Then what? you paid for something and aren't able to get it. @Mad_Professor86What we pay for is digital cosmetic, we own it, as long as you dont lose it, you cant sue them for not giving you what you payed for..
The Terraformer seems to be a good crashing zone, i crashed again while fighting there, i'll try to go there and see if it crashes more there than in other places !

- @Uhroboros That's the issue, is it actual property or a license to use? That's what would have to be determine. If it's actual property and we actually own said property and we can not use in said game hence it's freezing therefore can not utilize what we bought, not being able to use as intended could be interpreted as defective goods. If it's a license to use said digital items, the company has every right to terminate usage if usage is abusive, mis-use or end of life and no longer being supported. They can not provide a software license on software and not provide end user support for said digital items.
Because it would be anti-consumer and most likely against the law, which then you could sue them for breach of contract.
Either way, a good consumer lawyer would be able to argue both points.
I'm not crying and demanding ligation because I can't play.
I'm tired dealing with bad service and poor quality products or merchandise, and it's not just limited to EA or Respawn but to things I use or purchase in my daily life, like automotive parts or tools, internet service, phone service etc etc.. The only way to make corporations and companies understand that we are not going to be pushed around and taken advantage of is to start class action lawsuits, because that actually cost them money.
