Re: Game crashes to desktop without error: July 27-2022 patch

I can't even launch the game.

Update was around 430+mbs, since then it cuts right to desktop.
Nothing specified however a family member who also has the game installed with current update on a separate computer can play the game no issue.

This seems to be case specific to possibly the hardware or an inconsistency in comparability.
I'm running windows 7 btw if that means anything.

@EA_Kent It is still crashing today. Bizarrely, I tried playing via Origin (instead of Steam) and it worked yesterday ... and now does not work today, i.e., crashes in both Steam and Origin.

PS - i gather from @IamKayRaw's thread a patch hit Steam yesterday and Origin today, so that seems like the culprit.

Various users from reddit to discord servers are reporting this crash, they've tried many fixes and nothing seems to fix it.

A general theme seems to follow that they're using Win11.

As for the other users in this thread, I'll probably get around checking your files tommorow.

I've seen several people -- including me -- with this error on other OSes, including in this thread. I'm running W10, someone above is on Windows 7. It's definitely not isolated to W11

Went to sleep around 2 am cst last night after doing my 10th uninstall, reinstall, repaired EAC, checked file integrity, Origin, and Steam. Multiple restarts, updated my drivers, downgraded my drivers, checked firewall, disabled firewall.

Not once has Apex gone past the EAC part of the splash screen.

128g ram

Windows 10

All with the latest updates and drivers

same for me,  after 7/28 updata can't open the game,  it runs EAC but 10sec Apex get close and no wrong report, This problem have 3 days and EA  no fix it

I upload my Crashpad , I hope EA can find something wrong, even with wait a week, I still hope EA can fix it.  Maybe another guys can runs, but please, some people just cant, fix it  Okay?  Please !!

Been in the same boat since Wednesday. Was able to play just fine on Tuesday, then after the update on Wednesday the game crashes 2-3 minutes of being open. If I"m quick, I can queue into a match, but it crashes before I even get to select my character. I can load back in, but again, it crashes in like 30 seconds. So much for getting to play the event.

EDIT 1:I saw somebody mention testing with Fortnite in case it's EAC or something? I managed to get through an entire match without a single crash.

EDIT 2: Tried the Autoruns mentioned previously. It flagged 3 things, 1 that I could move, and was not the issue, and 2 that I wasn't allowed to move even as Admin. Solution didn't work for me.
