Just to be clear:

To claim the free Conduit bundle, you'll need to:

- Link your EA account to your Epic Games account.

This could be done by the following ways:

1) Going to https://myaccount.ea.com logging in, and then going to the connections tab, then clicking on "add" next to Epic Games.

2) (Alternate way to achieve the same thing as #1) On PC, you can go to the EA App -> Your username in the top right of the app -> Open the drop-down menu -> Click "Settings" -> Click "Manage" -> This will automatically signed into your account on https://myaccount.ea.com, (it may ask for a two step code, if enabled) -> head over to the connections tab -> add Epic Games account.

3) Launching the game through Epic Games. It will have you sign in to your EA account, and it would then ask you to link. (more info here https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/link-ea-and-epic-games/)

- Once your accounts are linked, launch the game through the Epic Games launcher. The Epic Games launcher must be the one to start up the game. It will say its opening "the partnered application". Don't click out of this window. It may ask you to sign in, but it should only do so if you're not already logged into the EA App.

You could skip the linking on https://myaccount.ea.com step by launching the game directly through Epic Games and then signing into your account, followed by accepting the linking request when prompted by the launcher.

Edited: I was helping a friend link their accounts and I've found that the https://myaccount.ea.com actually didn't have the option to link to Epic Games. You would have to launch Apex through the Epic Games launcher and sign into your EA account. It will then ask you to confirm the linking of the two accounts. Once you confirm the account link, it will launch Apex.

After your first launch of the game on Epic Games launcher, you'll no longer need to use this launcher to access the bundle, it will be available across all platforms linked to your EA account.
