When you're on the title screen for Apex Legends you should see an option to change datacenters there. Have you tried connecting to any others to see if you're still having these same issues?

Yes I have, all of them say between 27-60ms and 0 packet loss. I get in game and I’m having 200-400 ping and 0 packet loss

Have you had a chance to try changing the DNS on your PS4 to see if that makes any difference at all? I've seen some cases where using a different DNS can help with issues like this. To change the DNS settings on your PS4 follow the steps below: 

1. Open your PS4 Settings and go to Network

2. Select Set Up Internet Connection

3. Choose WiFi or LAN Cable depending on what type of connection you're using

4. Select IP Address Settings (automatic)

5. Select DHCP Host Name (Do Not Use)

6. Select DNS Settings (Manual)

7. Enter 8.8.8.8 as the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 as the Secondary DNS. This is the public Google DNS, but if there's a different DNS you would rather use instead that's OK as well

8. Select MTU Settings (Automatic)

9. Select Proxy Server (Do Not Use)

10. Choose Test Internet Connection to confirm the changes

Yeah it didn’t do anything. Looks like the PS4 servers are just trash. But what’s new.

It’s honestly a shame that I wasted my money on this game just to not be able to connect because of server issues. 

Anyway thank you for trying to help Kent! But I’m done trying to fix a problem that isn’t solvable. 

Pass a message along to your high ups though and tell them to fix their crappy servers for apex. Thanks and enjoy the rest of your day. 

I’m having the same issue but on xbox, servers are saying 30-60ms then as soon as I drop in its immediately 120-150ms. Is there a similar fix to be done on Xbox as with PS4? 

This is constantly happening to me im usually between 30-50 ping bo packet loss then when i go in game at the beginning i get 400 ping and 40-60 packet loss this caused me to go from plat 1 to plat4 when i was close to diamond last split and my lobbie is laggy and when i ready up it says connecting to match but never puts me in one

This needs to be brought up especially after last weekends hack. I have seen this and disconnects since the beginning. Season 0. My ports are forwarded and I have my router configured properly. Btw before changing any settings read up on them. If you are unsure of dns settings go to dns benchmark and run the tool. My routers dns was faster and more stable than any other public offerings. Honestly after all this time I know the people who respond are getting sick of offering the same cookie cutter answers, though probably not as much as we are sick of rubberbanding and terrible connection games. Btw geographically speaking the servers with the lowest ping for me are further away from me. I live in Minnesota and St. Louis is the best ping 50-60 I can get.Iowa which has 4 servers are in the 80’s. Everything else is above 100. 

To recap the games servers and network are problematic, as shown last weekend. 

having similar issue since the newest season has started on my pc had no issues before and now its unplayable this is very upsetting ive read through and tried all the suggested actions and none of them are improving the quality of the ping in game starts out fine and spikes outta control ive been in arguments with the internet company im at my witts ends this this game and am on the verge of never playing it agian.

@KiwiDrawsOMG WE ALMOST HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME ISSUE!!!!!

So the only difference is that on the data centers menu it will show every server as a fluctuating number until it inevitable cycles down to 2% and then ill reset the game until i get a connection that shows 0% packet loss however it doesn't matter because somehow i still cant crack someones shield who is standing in front of me with their eyes closed. lmao. lemme know if you figure it out. So far the best explanation i can come up with is packet delay on my received packets. 

I would love to test my dns benchmark but I don't know how, any tips?

@rekorx_9d320fqi Unfortunately I don’t really have a solution, it just kind of fixed itself without me doing anything tbh. I did take about a week off from the game (at the time because of frustration) and when I came back it just didn’t stutter/lag anymore. I didn’t change/update anything either so I’m not really sure 😭

Hey I’m actually still having these problems, it says I have 40-70 ping when I load up but as soon as I get into a game it immediately starts to go up to 500-800 ping and all these red symbols pop up and it’s unplayable. I’ve reset my router, changed my DNS settings and still cannot play apex. I play on PC and I do understand that a wired connection is better but my speed test comes outs fine with very little jitter

I know this thread is years old but I've been having this issue for over a year and nobody has been able to fix it. I've tried every troubleshooting step suggested by EA, and I play on PC.
