@LensMotive Right-Click windows start Icon>search:msinfo>run as admin>then at top:File>export an there you have your MS Info txt
just start with that first
If you can't really get a screen shot tell me where your connection is getting hung up at. If it's at the Anti-Cheat screen I've seen a suggestion that the Aurora rgb lighting program could be a problem...somehow. Also, another suggestion that before loading Origin and/or Apex don't have any other games that run the same Anti-Cheat program running.
this is what pops up
@LensMotive here's a good thread I found: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Apex-Legends-Unable-to-connect-to-EA-servers/m-p/7432136#M3463
let me know if you need any explanation as to what they did...by the way most of this is done by just search queries. I'm no expert but know my way around the internet. The annoying part of most of these fixes I see has to do with uninstalling this, reinstalling that, updating these drivers...it can be quite confusing..it was for me at first but the more I read the more I learn how to fix common problems.
- DNS Flushing
Port Forwarding
Updating your Network Drivers
???????????????? The DNS flush portion was that recommended thing I said you do in CMD? You did try that right...after you hard-rest your connection?
Updating network drivers..or in some cases for rolling them back can be done here: (Right-click win start>go to Device Manager>you'll see a tab that says: Network Adapters..click that to expand then on each individual one>Right-Click>update driver>search automatically...lol I just did it while saying all this and it updated one of them..haven't done it in a month.
As far as Port Forwarding: https://www.pcsteps.com/1154-port-forwarding-router-windows-firewall/
So...yeah. Hopefully you won't have to do any port forwarding it's a step by step process but it's aggravating if you don't like reading and find things like that confusing..leave that as a last resort and just read along.
- did the driver updates and yea I already did that one
- im trying it again to see if it fixed. its definitely better though. it doesn't do it as much but it eventually does it.
Updates are very important sometimes they can either fix problems or cause them. Always keep drivers, bios, windows, everything updated. If it's a problem roll back to a previous version and see if it helps. You can also go with from small trouble shooting such as uninstalling & reinstalling both Origin & Apex Legends...to a big solution more annoying solution of reformatting your entire hard drive and starting from a clean state.
- so I have AMD and I read a thread where people with AMD are getting crashes......
- does it have to come down to me having to buy another gpu?
@LensMotive No not necessarily but I have seen many issues with people trying to play this game using AMD products. At that point it's up to their company to update/add any patches needed for those individuals. If they don't/won't do it I'm sure someone will have some crazy fix in the future...hopefully near future.
- but I have to change my gpu if I always have to play games on low-very low settings right?
@LensMotive Well, that was why I was trying to get your specs earlier...if you have to lower all your settings to get this game to run then yes it's time to update your GPU. Because, I've tried looking at the lower settings and it just isn't pleasant.
- damn is the gtx 1030 good? im trying to find a budget gpu but that's good
@LensMotive hmm, the 1030...that's pushing it to being considered outdated seeing as it only has 2GB worth of ram: this one was a decent one I found: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07646VQ6T/ref=psdc_284822_t1_B071DY2VJR
It depends on what your budget is...If I were you I'd just save my money and see how far you can push that budget and get something more recent. I have a GTX1060 6GB and wish I could afford better like a 1080Ti . The GTX1060 3GB version is a little over $100 and that would be much better than the 1030...like I said up to budget though.
- I’m trying to find something that I can get at the moment and I wanna see if there’s anything below 100 or at least below 130
Check both: https://www.amazon.com & https://www.newegg.com
Do a few search queries on both websites and compare pricing, specs, and reviews to see what meets your needs. Keep in mind though what games you play now/in the future and what their minimum requirements are.
- You’ve given me the most accurate and detailed answers ever! I’m going to bed but thank you so much on trying to help me with my problem. I guess the only thing left to do Is to get a new gpu and see what happens. Are these threads always open? Just Incase I have another question?
posting dx diag so hopefully a fix is pushed.
Keep either getting stutter freeze then dropped or just dropped before matchmaking. Connection to ea servers couldn't be established etc.
i doubt its a amd or nvidia problem , to many people from bouth sides get crashes , and i have stable drivers i play many other games with no crashes fortnite/overwatch/csgo/warframe/witcher3 , its definietly on apex ends
