Re: Something Went Wrong! Prime Gaming Link Issue

I've been dealing with this problem since horizon got a twitch prime skin that i wanted but when i try to link game accounts i get an error message saying try again. I've talked with EA Support Twitch Support Amazon Support and im sent to another support team everyday to fix this. This seems like a server syncing issue and don't know what to do anymore

    Hey @Memecreameryv1

In a lot of cases that error comes up when the Twitch account has already been connected with an EA Account. Can you check something for me when you have the chance?

Go to twitch.tv and log into your Twitch account. Open up your Twitch Settings and click on the Connections tab. Scroll down to the Other Connections section. Do you see Electronic Arts listed there?

  • I fixed the problem. Seems this could be a twitch/ Amazon issue. Issue was fixed by using the EA took to unlink account then unlink on twitch page. Then going to prime gaming and claiming a madden 21 offer which gave different way of linking my accounts. Went into apex and was given the inverse polarity skin

  • I've been having this same error for weeks now for Madden 21.

When I try to link my account to Amazon Prime, this chinese tab shows up, I click on the yellow one and write my ea e-mail and password. However, I get the same something went wrong error and I tried the twitch unlinking tool but it says that my account wasn't linked to Twitch ( I also checked the other connections part you mentioned). Then I went on checking my connections via Amazon and I've seen that my account was linked to EA, however, I tried to unlink it and try to claim my rewards again but it didn't help

I dont know why but 'Profile' section in the Amazon Prime appears in Chinese when I log in with my native language. Maybe that can give you a clue about what's going on

    Hi @Ozakax

When you have the chance I'd recommend getting in touch with the EA Help team so they can pull up your account and take a look. For more details on how you can set up a case with them check out the EA Help website

If you prefer you can also speak with them over Twitter or Facebook instead as well.

  • Still having the same issue tried with ea support, but they just don't care I had prime for months now and didn't get a single pack from it.

    Pathetic

  • i have ea desktop open and it still doesnt work.. really EA wtf are you doing? mocking us?

  • I did all the steps EAHelp want me to do and as always it didn't work. So far I did ;

    A-
    1. Uninstall Origin and Apex
    2. Redownload above
    3.Install update/ login to origin
    4. Launch Apex.
    5. Close Apex.
    6. Unlink/relink EA to Twitch.
    7. Relaunch Apex and you should get all the skins you have claimed.
    B-
I used different IPs, different devices to get my skins. Mobile data, etc.
    C-
    1. Clear cache of origin
    2. Close background tasks
    3. Run C Cleaner
    4. Uninstall Origin
    5. Reinstall Origin
    6. Flush DNS Caches
    7. Clean boot
    D-
Tried to claim a  different EA reward from prime gaming.
Basically, I did everything they throw my way. But it didn't work.

And finally, I got an honest answer from EA Help which I include in this message. If you are having this problem, you should know this is on their end. Not yours. I have been trying to fix this issue since last year. And this was the first honest answer.

I also had the same issue. I tried everything to connect my Prime Gaming account to my EA account for two days, used different web browsers, used my mobile phone, cleared the cache, logged out and logged in, reset my router, removed all connections and reconnect, contacted with 2 EA advisors and did everything they told me to do but nothing worked. I always get the same "something went wrong" error after entering my verification code.

Then yesterday, I thought it could be a verification issue and changed my verification settings and then used another computer  which I have never used before to link my accounts and it worked. Successfully linked my prime gaming to my EA account as you can see from the attached picture. Find below what I did step by step.

    - Signed in ea.com and clicked account settings. Filled the empty slots at the "About Me" tab and then from the Security tab I changed my verification mode to Mobile App Authenticator. (make sure Login Verification is turned ON). A QR code generated to connect my account to the authenticator (keep the page open)

    - Downloaded Google Authenticator to my android mobile phone from Play Store and added my EA account to the authenticator by scanning the QR code given at the previous step.

    - Signed out from twitch, amazon gaming and EA at my computer

    - Using my dad's computer which I have never used before I first signed in to twitch.tv then from the "Prime Gaming Loot" section up right I choosed FIFA 21: Prime Gaming Pack (you can select another Electronic Arts game loot). It took me to Prime Gaming web site and I signed in. Clicked the "Claim Now" button on the loot and a small window popped up, and then clicked "Go To EA" button from the "Link Game Account" section below. (If you have already claimed the loot then "link game account" section won't be show up, in this case you can claim any other Electronic Arts game loot that you haven't claimed before to show it up)

     - I was redirected to the EA Account sign-in page and I signed in with my ID and password. Asked me the verification method and I choosed Google Authenticator instead of my e-mail.

     - Opened Google Authenticator and a six digit code was created, typed this code to my EA verification page opened in the previous step.

    - A menu popped up and there I allowed EA to access my Prime Gaming membership.

    - Was ready to see "something went wrong" message but this time it worked and accounts succesfully linked.

I solved my problem after all, and hope this will work for you too.

Thx for your guide and tips. I tried your solution except another computer i just tried it in incognito modes. Unfortunatelly it didn't work for me. In EA support they told me they will create a bug for it but how am I going to track it ?
