Re: Sound not working with a PS4 controller attached with a headset (PC)

in case anyone is still having a problem with this here's the final correct fix procedure

Reason it's not working: Your PS4 controller and your PC's sound driver is conflicting as both hardware is being detected by your system. the solution, is to make sure your PC doesn't recognize your PS4 controller as a sound device.

1. go to Control Panel

2. go to Devices and Printers

3. Right click on Wireless Controller

(scroll down)

4. Right click on Headset Earphone and Disable

5. done

note that your headphones/speakers should be attached to your PC not the controller.

Now that your pc doesn't recognize your controller as a sound device, your regular plug ins wouldwork fine
