Re: Unable to party with cross platform friends

I try to play with my friends who’s on ps5 and I’m on Xbox. When we’re both online it says he’s offline to me and I’m offline to him. We both don’t receive the party and friend requests we’ve sent each other and we both have cross play enabled in apex legends and in Xbox and ps5 settings. In apex legends, cross play is enabled but grayed out for me.

Do you know if your friend is on a child account, or are they using an adult account?

Have you tried removing and re-adding each other as friends to see if that makes any difference? I've seen some cases where that can do the trick with similar issues. 

We’re not friends he doesn’t receive my requests. 

It sounds like we’re all experiencing the same issues and it’s super frustrating, the game isn’t fun to me without the one friend I want to play with ( I downloaded the game because of him) so until it’s resolved I guess I’ll just go back to another game. Hopefully EA sports will actually look into this issue and patch it soon.

What exactly are you seeing when you're trying to group up with your cross platform friends? Is it just not allowing you to send or accept invites? 

I think the solution is to just wait. It’s fixed itself for me and now we can play together just fine. 

I'm having a similar issue. it's says "Join failed. Game version does not match host." We've both checked and we're on the same update, we've restarted multiple times and tried to restart our consoles too. I verified game files and we even tried to change servers. Nothing's working..

Exact same issue for me. I'm on Xbox and my friend is on playstation and it has cross platform grayed out on my settings
