I get a white, windowed screen when I start Apex after the newest update.
I have tried:
1. Giving permissions through the firewall.
2. Updated my drivers.
3. Removed all overlays from other applications.
4. Quit and stopped running software that might interfere, I.e. riot, discord etc.
Is there anything else I can do?
Same thing happening to me and other people. Still no word from Respawn or EA. Is your laptop a Lenovo, by any chance? I've been trying to figure out if it might be something related to that brand in specific. I even tried reinstalling Windows 11 from scratch and the problem remains...
Yeah, it is actually a Lenovo. But it seems strange if it has anything to do with a specific brand.
You're now the 3rd person who has confirmed their pc is a Lenovo. It could be coincidence, but at this point I'm really starting to think it might be some pre installed software that the anti cheat hasn't whitelisted. I was googling about it and something similar seems to have happened before with other easy anti cheat games and this same brand.
I just wish some dev or other employee would pay attention to us so they could work on a fix, but since the issue isn't affecting everyone, it feels like they're ignoring it, and with no way to directly contact a human being that could help with troubleshooting, idk what else we're supposed to do in order to be able to play again
Go to pc settings --> system --> display --> graphics --> make apex run on amd graphics
Also go to nvidea control panel --> manage 3d settings --> program settings --> make apex run on amd
We had discussed this issue and found out that changing graphics from nvidea to amd fixes the problem. I personally launched apex on amd, then changed it back to nvidea and it runs smoothly. How? God knows :D
Yeah I have Lenovo gaming laptop... I was about to do the same thing to reinstal Windows...
I can't even open apex on laptop now. I just have background sounds and clicking... I
