Re: Why cant i play with my psn account

Hi @25471352

With Apex Legends, you can access eligible progress/items from every platform account connected to the same EA account.

However, if you have unlinked any of your platform accounts from a previous EA account and are no longer seeing your items or progression this would be because progress/items are stored at the EA account level instead of the platform account.

To attempt to restore items you would need to relink your platform account back to its original EA account.

To confirm, you won't use your PSN login credentials on your Steam game, you will continue playing like normal and will simply see eligible items available on both platforms.

Thanks!

    Hi @25471352

Apologies for any confusion, for additional information you can also check out our EA Help articles on linking and unlinking accounts:

To confirm, once you link a platform account like your PSN account to an EA account. Progress, unlocked items, etc are stored at the EA account level for online-related modes and activity.

If you unlink your platform account (in this case the PSN) from its linked EA account, and then decide to link the PSN account to a new EA account you will not be able to take your progress and items with you as they are stored at the EA account level.

Your account did look like this:

    • EA Account 1: PSN Progress, PSN Account
    • EA Account 2: PC Progress, PC Account

Currently, your EA accounts would look like this:

    • EA Account 1: PSN Progress,
    • EA Account 2: PC Progress, PC Account,  PSN Account

From here you would have 2 options, either unlink the PSN account from its current EA account and link it back to its original EA account, to attempt to restore your PSN progress (by linking it back to its original EA account).

OR, Keep the PSN account linked to its current EA account to use it along with your PC account for Cross-Progression with Apex Legends. However, this does mean you would be unable to use the progress/item you had on PSN as they are stored on the Original EA account.

Please note, that EA accounts themselves cannot be merged.

Thanks, and hope this explains better!

    Hey @25471352

If you wish to attempt to restore your progress and items then yes,

From here you would have 2 options, either unlink the PSN account from its current EA account and link it back to its original EA account, to attempt to restore your PSN progress (by linking it back to its original EA account).

OR, Keep the PSN account linked to its current EA account to use it along with your PC account for Cross-Progression with Apex Legends. However, this does mean you would be unable to use the progress/item you had on PSN as they are stored on the Original EA account.

    Thanks!
