Red connection symbols on Apex (Xbox series X) message to respawn
Hi so me and my friends have been having serious issues on Apex legends recently to the point where the game is getting more and more unplayable as the weeks go on. So my internet is 500 MB download and upload speed, London server 15-17 ms,my ping is usually between 16 ms and 33 ms as displayed on the top right hand corner, I have 0% packet loss. But constantly I have several red symbols every single game and the last time I had a good experience was before 60 FPS was released. So between 7AM and 12AM UK time the game is fine but after that what usually happens is I start the game and 3 red boxes, red lightning bolt, a red audio symbol with a clock and a circle will show. Then 9 times out of 10 they will disappear I land and if their is any more than 3 teams in a landing spot I/friends will only hear 1 enemy off that team not anyone else that includes gunfire and footsteps. The audio will be very misleading the whole game in terms off distance meaning someone who is far away can sound close and other times I can hear them perfectly but that doesn't happen often. My teammates audio is always perfect even overpowering for instance Newcastles footstep audio for example is ridiculously loud that can't hear anything else. I understand the audio has always been inconsistent but its getting worse, so I took a break from Apex and never played season 15 until the last 2 weeks where I saw all the future updates the respawn developers had planned and I got excited(They have done an amazing job) and I've been testing the game for the last few weeks now and in terms off gameplay the FPS is dropping really bad or its trying to go higher than 60 fps with the highest I've seen is 72 FPS and the overall gameplay feels smooth once in every 6 games and what I mean by smooth is that I don't feel slow running and turning, I'm also not dead sliding even down hill and occasionally I will shoot someone and I get no hit reg but I can see the bullets hit plus what armour colour armour they have. I've also noticed that when I go wraith(which I own an heirloom for) If I run in a straight line say 100m it feels really smooth even if I have my gun in hand, so I unequipped the heirloom and tried doing the exact same in the exact same spot several games at least 30 and it felt slower for some reason genuinely don't know why. The red lightning bolts are getting worse and I feel bad game lag when it happens and not everyone in my team gets it, its very 50/50 but most games now feel clunky and slow. So I came on this website and followed all troubleshooting procedures and have also talked to EA help. This game is the only game I feel lag in but even though that is the case I followed every troubleshooting procedure including contacting my ISP, now this is where it gets strange. When I contacted my ISP I spoke to a guy and we got chatting while he was testing my internet as it could take a few minutes and all I said was I'm playing apex legends I really enjoy the game and explained everything to him. Then he said to me "I take it this is the only game your lagging on" which is true because I play games like CRSED, Fortnite, warzone 2 and many other games that have multiplayer and it is very rare I experience issues and he said "he had many complaints regarding this game and he would do everything to help". Nothing has worked. I play alot off solo squads with random matchmaking and I have met players new and old. I always ask them what they think off the game and every response is exactly the same, they love the new update but the servers are terrible they have several error messages/symbols but they don't know what they mean and they aren't having fun with the game at the moment or the exact same as me they have to play several games to wait for at least 1 game that is actually playable. I was personally very excited for this season and was hopeful that these issues would have been fixed but they haven't, I'm really not having fun with this and even though I bought the season pass I'm giving up for now as theirs nothing I can do. I hope that maybe the developers can see this be more transparent about these issues and will hopefully fix them.
