Related issues regarding binding EA accounts to Steam

I just got a new PC. and i wanted to play apex on it, and i cant because the EA app keeps crashing on me and it isn't stable. so i tried steam , and it didn't let me link my steam at all. and it said that it was linked to another account, when i don't remember having a steam linked to that account. so i try linking it and it shows that there was an account on it before hand , and it wont let me link an account at all. please help me with this .
