Screenshots Not Saving after moving from Steam to Origin (Apex Legends)

Hello (tl;dr at bottom)

When I first installed Apex Legends on my PC, I downloaded it from Steam originally before realizing I hadn't linked the wrong Account to my Steam Profile for Apex, but as I didn't want to reach out to support and wait for them to remove the link, decided to move it to Origin. Followed steps exactly as this video explains by copying steam's Apex folder onto my G:\ drive, then started the DL in Origin & immediately stopped it > renamed the copied Steam Apex folder to the Origin DL's folder name, then restarted origin & re-verified the game files to avoid DL'ing it twice - which worked perfectly, no issues playing at all.

However, it appears this caused Origin to not be able to saving a single Apex Legends screenshot, which I think is due to Origin having the default directory for Installs & Saves as: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\ even though the only Origin Game I have is Apex Legends & that's mapped to the G:\ drive's folder where I set Origin's install for Apex to & re-verified from.

Tried manually creating C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Apex\r2\screenshots folder that worked the day I did it, but the following day, the folder contents was wiped & hasn't worked since, nor does it save to the game's actual folder under G:\Program Files\Apex\\r2\screenshots folder - only NVidia's GeForce Experience's screenshots work.

Any idea how I can resolve the screenshots not saving/working? Should I try either the move game function, or change Origin's default Install & Saves Directory to Apex's G:\ folder? I do not play any other Origin games, nor have any plans to either as of right now, and I've repaired the game in Origin as recently as 2 days ago, albeit didn't fix anything.

tl;dr Apex installed with Steam, performed method to re-install via Origin w/o DL'ing entire game on my G:\ drive but now screenshots don't save even with Program Files/Origin Games/Apex/r2/screenshots being created. How do I fix?

Thanks in advance for any assistance and/or input here.

  • No insight at all into this?

Can anyone at EA at least provide some input as to where I can diagnose this further?
