Hi,
Apex is the only game I play so I wanted to give some feedback on DX12 beta. Additionally, it looks like all Intel Arc GPU users are experiencing the same exact issues (do CTRL+F "arc" in this thread or see this thread). Intel support has mentioned that these issues are with Apex and not with their drivers.
My specs (laptop):
- Intel Arc A370M (4GB), running latest Beta drivers 31.0.101.3959
- 12th Gen Intel i5-12500H, ~2.5GHz
- 16GB RAM
- Windows 11
Issues:
- less than 1 FPS in Main Menu, lobby, Legend Selection Process, loading screens etc. It feels like a slideshow and every action takes 10s to respond. Game is very unstable during these moments, game crashes occur often during these moments. This makes it an absolute pain to get into a match or to get to the next match after completing one.
- In a match (i.e. about to drop from the dropship and onward): the game is very smooth, much smoother than DX11. I'm running capped (triple buffered) at 60fps. However:
- No reticle when ADSing (looks like this is an issue that occurs when game resolution doesn't match native desktop resolution)
- No lighting effects on players (enemies appear very dark and it's difficult to see them)
- No outlining on loot (i.e. colored glow on attachments to show its rarity is absent.) and deathboxes
Resolving the 1fps menu/lobby issue alone would be a huge win for all Intel Arc GPU users. Please prioritize this fix if you can! Thank you!

My "experience":
Radeon RX 7900 XTX, on Driver 23.1.1
To be fair here this happened after couple of hours of play.

It looks like DX12 is absolutely unusable right now, my game crashes every time. Too bad, before that it really worked wonderfully.
It just crashed with this error message:

There is an issue with textures on AMD card. I posted here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/DX12-Shiny-very-bright-textures-in-some-areas/m-p/12525886#M99423
