Shards

I've put in over 500 hours playing apex, I've even purchased packs. But not once have I seen a shard pack yet. I've seen lower levels get shards, but I haven't seen any. I'm playing the game each and everyday, want to go live but I want my shards before going live. Shards looks more professional. And my kdr is close to 2.0 so... that's pretty good in my opinion, even on my days I'm not feeling it, I still play. But... I play for those shards that I seem to never get. Please help me understand what I need to do to get these shards, cause I literally only play apex now, I master how to play with multiple characters. And yet, nothing.
