Since S21 launch mouse movement makes game unplayable

Same here .. only polling rate "UNDER 1001 Hz" working .. everything above ends with random stutters and fps drops

I've had the same I use polling rate of 1000 and 800dpi and it feels way to fast almost like the games accelerating it

I've been playing APEX with no problem but the latest Upheaval update made the game unplayable.

As you can see in the video, the game stutters only with mouse movement.

I was in the training mode, but the frame drop in real games is much worse.

I tried most of the recommendations online, but nothing has worked.

I use Razer Orochi V2, I tried to turn off the Razer Synapse app, changed the polling rate to 250, and tried other mice, completely reinstalled the game..., but nothing works

Setting the polling rate to the lowest value reduces the stutter/frame lag but the game is still unplayable and the red congestion symbols still appear at the top of the screen.

This was not a problem in the 20 preceding seasons, and is not a problem in any other game that I play. Whatever changes the game has had implemented has ruined the performance for a subset of people.

My question still stands though. Is Respawn aware of this and is it likely to be fixed, or do I just uninstall and move on?

I have the same issue. There is no problem with other games. Only Apex. 

I unistalled and install again. Tried to play with both steam and EA.
I change my gpu delete gpu driver and reinstall it again. Changed monitor. Update all the driver etc.

Nothing didn't work. It's probably something with the shaders but i am not 100% sure about it.

For me it's not specifically mouse movement, but the moment I try to shoot an enemy in solos, the FPS drops for a couple of seconds, which obvi gets me killed. My settings are 99% on low or disabled and I've been using them like that in the previous seasons with no issue. Now I've completely disabled everything, it looks like I'm playing 3D Mario, but the issue persists. 🙂 Guessing it will be fixed, based on the history of buggy launches, but a reply from someone at EA or Respawn would help keep us all a bit more patient. After all, some of us don't get to play too often and the Solos mode will disappear soon.

Using a controller illustrates that this is a problem with whatever changes Respawn have made to mouse input, either in terms of optimisation or to track inputs. In the video below you can see how controller works normally, but as soon as I switch to mouse everything grinds to a halt. (go easy, i've never played Apex with a controller so this is not exactly peak performance, it's just a demonstration)

Would really appreciate some reassurance that this is being figured out, as there's nothing on the Trello board. My game was fine last season and now it's unplayable (on MnK). For the record I'm not planning on playing on controller, and will move to something else if this isn't resolved (but please fix it!)

Having this exact same issue! Like with you, controller fixed the issue for me. However I cannot tolerate using a controller so it's back to the drawing board...

Here's a summary list of the rest of the attempts at a fix I tried, just to hopefully narrow down the scope of things so that whoever happens to have the same issue doesn't have their time wasted.

- changed mouse port
- changed logitech gaming software mouse illumination settings (G502 mouse, changing this fixed this issue for some people in the past. It didn't work for me.)
- got a brand new mouse, different brand, also didn't work
- restart
- reinstall
- close all other applications
- fresh install and play using a different drive
- update all drivers known to man and god

- reset graphics driver
- update windows

- changed servers
- changed mouse polling rate (apparently fixed it for some people? not me though)
- different networks (4 of them)
- cooler environment (confirmed it was not an additional overheating issue)
- removal of additional display
- steam settings modification (launch codes)
- changing the fps of the display using nvidea controlpanel

- nerfed antivirus

- modified a ton of ingame settings (did nothing):
* vsync changes
* nvidia reflex off/on
* all graphics settings to as low as possible

They did this on purpose only for mnk players.

The frustration they are creating with all the changes they’ve implemented is unbelievable.

yep the same thing is happening to me as well and i have tried everything that was mentioned here and nothing. ive read some old posts talking about how this has happened before, usually after a big update like the new season rolling in and its honestly pissing me off. i stopped playing back in S17 and was convinced by friends to come back in S21 but now im finding it reaaal hard to continue playing lmao. What frustrates and worries me is that if this problem is only affecting a small majority, how likely is it that a dev or someone will see this problem and do something about it....
