Steam overlay won't turn on in Apex so now I can't sign in

Apex will not let me sign in on Steam even though the overlay is on. I uninstalled Fraps. Enabled it from Properties but still nothing.

Hi @alyleaf_bs,

When you've got a chance can you try verifying the integrity of the game files in Steam to see if that helps at all? For more information on how to verify the files check out the Steam Support website.

  What happens if you start your PC in a Clean Boot before you launch Apex Legends? I'm curious if there might be something else interfering, and that may help get around it if that's the case.

    @EA_Kent Ive managed to solve the issue now, I reinstalled Steam and it has appeared to work. I'm think the Game Overlay service was not starting when Steam or Apex was launched. Thanks alot for your help!
