Steam DLC Sync Failure - 3 Legacy Packs Missing

Hello,

I am experiencing a persistent entitlement synchronization issue between Steam and the EA App. I have 3 DLC packs that I redeemed via Steam Product Keys years ago, but the content (Apex Coins and Skins) has never appeared in my game.

The missing DLCs are:

*Apex Legends Saviors Pack (2022)

*Apex Legends Defiance Pack (2022)

*Apex Legends Escape Pack (2021)

Current Status: These DLCs show as "Installed" in my Steam Library. My Steam and EA accounts are correctly linked. I have 0 Apex Coins in-game and the skins are locked. I have contacted EA Support multiple times (latest Case #235178713). The agents acknowledged that there is an "entitlement sync failure" on my account, but they informed me that they dont have the manual tools to "grant" or "push" these items and suggested I post here.

Crucial Detail: To prove my Steam-EA link is working, my Battlefield 1 DLCs purchased on Steam show up and work perfectly in the EA App. This issue is specific to these 3 Apex Legends packs.

Can a Community Manager please investigate my account and help me manually sync these missing entitlements? I have been waiting for a long time for these items.

Thank you.

  • fyate7 Did you have another EA Account that was originally linked to your Steam Account?

If you did, linking your Steam Account to another EA Account wouldn't transfer the DLC packs over.

Midnight9746 as far as I remember, this is the only EA account I've ever used and linked with my Steam account. I dont recall ever unlinking or switching to a different EA account.

even if there was a different account in the past, shouldnt EA Support be able to see where these entitlements are currently 'stuck'? both agents I talked to confirmed a sync error on my current account rather than mentioning a different linked account.

Is there a way to verify if these specific DLCs are tied to a ghost/old account?

fyate7 I've asked because items earned/unlocked are stored on the EA Account level, so if your Steam Account's link was switched around, then its entitlements wouldn't carry over from what I understand.

Midnight9746  I see your point, but I just received official confirmation from Steam Support. They verified that all 3 DLC packs are active and correctly registered to my Steam account. I also sent them the screenshots showing the DLCs are "Installed" in my Steam properties.

If I had switched to a different EA account, my other Steam-purchased content like Battlefield 1 DLCs wouldnt be working on this account either—but they work perfectly. This confirms that my current EA-Steam link is functioning correctly for other titles.

This is clearly a specific database/sync error for Apex Legends on EA's side. Since Steam has confirmed the licenses are valid, what is the best way to get a "Senior Advisor" or a specialist to manually push these items to my inventory? Live chat agents keep saying they "documented it as a bug," but it's been years.

  • fyate7 I'm not sure how Battlefield 1 saves its it data, but I'm guessing Battlefield 1 saves its progress and data locally if the DLCs are still working, (or it could just be that Battlefield 1 wasn't affected at all).

As for Apex, if you are using the correct EA Account, it sounds like you did unlinked your Steam Account at one point, (which would had caused the issue).

Even though Steam can validate the DLCs from their side, sometimes the relinked EA Account is unable to re-verify the DLCs from its side, (which would explain the syncing issue as well), so that isn't something that Steam Support could fix either, (especially when your Apex progress and data is stored on the original EA Account).

In terms of contacting an EA Senior Advisor, that would be done through EA Help.

Note: I do not work for EA or for Respawn, so I am unable to handle EA Account related issues.
