Stuck on tutorial, can't complete "Switch Weapons" objective in Apex Legends

I am stuck on the tutorial (actually) for Apex Legends.  I don't know if this is me just being incredibly dumb or if the tutorial is bugged, but I hope it is the latter. For my sake. The guide tells...

    Reset your entire settings to default. Should work

Okay I just figured it out.  I bound my mouse wheel key to jump instead of cycle weapon.  Pressing 1 or 2 to switch your weapons won't fulfill the Switch Weapons objective.

    yeah tutorial in many games can be issue, dont overthink or do anything before time or as you discovered change settings in control.

        If you have xbox/playstation controller try connecting it and it'll work

      I attempted changing the different key bindings as well as the original "1" and "2" keys and still cannot complete the tutorial. I do not have a PC controller. Do you have any other suggestions on how to complete this task?

       The "Switch Weapons" option is actually grayed out and has a line through it. What to do next please help me anyone.

        @Avi747428 hey if you are on PC then go to setting Mouse/Keyboard
        click on cycle weapon then press mouse roller
