Sydney Server Ping High
Sydney has 5 datacentre locations, they typically range in PING from 12 to 15 if you are on the NBN in Sydney. This is great and love that you have Sydney based servers as most companies don't, so please keep investing in Australia as I am certain that we spend enough to warrant it.
That said, recently, I am getting between 65 and 70 PING on Sydney servers, I play for fibre to the premise, the PC is ethernet cabled not Wifi, and a trace route shows the same PING. This is not the issue as 70 is playable. What is not playable is 200 to 330MS which in game it tells me is what the game is playing at.
Can someone explain to me why the difference? This is not an internet issue, this appears to be a reporting issue or EA issue internal to the Datacentre, as I understand the Global Server PING is simply PINGing the IP Address of the datacentre, and the in game is the round trip to the server that you are connecting to with in the datacentre.
Is any other player experiencing this?
