System Override "Overrides" textures badly

I've just updated the game and for some reason my textures have gone to hell almost everything near me turns black or disappears and it's annoying i've even been getting character textures missing when selecting characters in a match. Anyone else having the same problem? no matter what i do in terms of graphics settings, i cannot seem to fix it and i don't wanna play on poor quality. my PC is decent so maybe the System Override update has brought upon new issues to the game?
