@EA_Darko equally as apex has had server issues in the past, it does not mean the server issues have dissappeared, and you can go back to blaming my WiFi or isp.
As I said fortnite didn't have any issues.
I'm not sure what Fortnite has to do with it @OldTreeCreeper. Every game is different, just because one game works does not mean that all others well or that the issue is not a result of the home network or ISP.
If you are not interested in help to troubleshoot the issue then you can ignore my posts above and the help I'm offering. I'm simply trying to help you and others seeing this issue rule out things like the home network.

@EA_Darko we were in the same lobby on the same WiFi, ytl was dc and I was able to play the arena game. Then ytl was dc with a timeout, then immediately able to log into fortnite while I was still playing Apex arenas. Not sure really how you could point to the home network as being the issue.

Multiple people on the same wifi @OldTreeCreeper is a recipe for disconnection and connection issues.
A disconnection does not mean your internet is down, it can be that the bandwidth is not available for you or others to continue, it can be due to routing, ports not being open, etc.
You can be disconnected in-game and still logged into the EA account online and online in the game menus.

@EA_Darko that's very interesting that ea/apex/respawn consider "Multiple people on the same wifi is a recipe for disconnection and connection issues."
I will bear that in mind.

Your ISP would consider it the same way @OldTreeCreeper. Multiple people using bandwidth-intensive services like online gaming all over wifi on the same network is quite often going to result in issues. I'm sure you've seen it yourself where the more people connected and using the internet the slower it is for all.
If you check out our advanced connection troubleshooting it calls out a number of things that can be an issue, your microwave for example can interfere with your connection: https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/
Ideally, you would all want to be using a wired connection or as many as possible. Lag on a home network when multiple people are connected is a very real thing and I see it myself on my home network and I have Gigabit broadband. If I am playing online and my wife streaming 4K then during busy periods of the day issues can occur. Likewise, I used to have LAN parties we would often see issues over wifi when 3 or 4 of us were playing. It's why I now have a number of 20-meter-long lan cables in a box under the stairs.
Last time I was at a LAN party I was playing with one of the Fathers of FPS and they were having issues due to the fact that 4 of us were all playing at one time on a network that was not correctly set up.

- c0ld14 years agoNew Scout@EA_Darko You're not wrong, but you could be. I also have good internet, mine isn't Gb, but 400Mb. I have a great mesh wifi along with a separate FW. I've got multiple people streaming, playing games, etc. all the time and rarely experience lag caused by congestion/bandwidth consumption. I've also had a ton of problems with Apex DCs. I've followed your guide. It's rarely helped. The most helpful thing for me is switching servers. Also, like @OldTreeCreeper, most of the time I have a problem with Apex DCs, I can play ANY OTHER GAME and it works flawlessly. I play Apex, Fortnite and Desitny 2 with my kids and we have never had an issue with Fortnite or D2. Also, I've had a plenty of games where I'm on with squad and complain about lag and someone else in the squad says "me to". Apex has serious network issues. Someone should be looking at those vs just telling users to follow a KB that given the OP's experience with having no issues with other games, is unlikely to help at all.

Again @c0ld1, just because other games work fine does not mean that the issue is not network or ISP related.
Another game working fine does not rule those out as ports closed, ISP routing, congestion, shared public IP, etc, etc, can all cause issues with connection.
The best thing is to troubleshoot it. Try the steps in our guides, speak with your ISP, if on wifi try wired. It's all just basic stuff that can make a huge difference. It's why it's called troubleshooting. It's fine to say it's all down to the game but at the same time not trying things that may fix it means that you may see the issue continue to pop up.

@EA_Darko"Another game working fine does not rule those out as ports closed, ISP routing, congestion, shared public IP, etc, etc, can all cause issues with connection"
Yes it does. Those things you mention are all related to the game and the technical components of the game servers. Not the user's home network. Closed ports are really never an issue despite companies claiming they are. Closed port issues result in games either working or not.
I'm not against troubleshooting. It's essential. When a company has a major issue with game stability & network connectivity. They need to be more invested in resolving those issues if they want their users to stay.
Just last night, started having major lag in game again. I switched from an Iowa server to another Iowa server. Same issue. Switched again from Iowa to NY. Bingo, game ran fine. I didn't do anything else. Didn't reboot, didn't reboot network equipment, didn't restart the game or Origin. Sure it could be my ISP's path to those other servers. I can't control that, but EA/Respwan certainly can. - EA_Darko4 years ago

It doesn't rule them out @c0ld1, if it did then they would not be steps recommended by online services as well as ISPs.
Multiple people on the same network playing the same game on a number of devices can result in all kinds of issues as mentioned above.
If you think that there is an issue with how your ISP is routing data to certain servers then you need to speak with them so that they can look into it.

@EA_Darko
It does rule them out because the Op just said that him and his kid jumped on and played Fortnite with no issues. If his home network has problems, why did Fortnite work fine? Home network congestion is a problem, no doubt, but he proved it wasn't in his circumstance. I proved it wasn't in mine because I can connect to another game server and the issues magically disappear. Why should I contact my ISP when I can connect to another server and it works? Did you look at the downdetector link I sent? People are reporting connectivity problems ALL THE TIME.
Do something about it instead of arguing with me in the forums about how people should look at their home network settings. Sure that might help sometimes, but not in this case.

You are free to disagree but another game working @c0ld1 does not rule out home network or ISP issues for APEX.
We don't use third-party sites or tools to look at connectivity issues. It's important to remember that even 1000 people reporting an issue in a certain time does not mean that it is an issue with the game.

Really? I find that hard to believe. You don't use uptrends, pingdom, GTmetrix, etc.? Maybe you're getting DDoS'd on the reg and you need something like Cloudflare or Reblaze? Not using 3rd party tools is a recipe for failure... the fact that you have a server browser in the first place indicates that you have design inefficiencies you're not willing to address. - EA_Darko4 years ago

Hey @c0ld1 would appreciate if you did not continue to try and "gotcha" me or start an argument.
When we look at the connection to let you know if there is an issue we have internal tools. Sure like all devs there are licensed tools that are used also.
Also, a server browser is pretty common and something that communities always ask for.
I'm going to clock this thread as you seem to want to have an argument rather than help with your connection issues.Darko
