Two players on the same connection cannot play at the same time.

I've been playing apex since release. Never had an issues. We come back to the game last week and while my brother and I try to play, we lag spike to 600-700ms. It ONLY occurs while we are both on the game. If one person is playing and the other is at the title screen no lag occurs. The instant the other person clicks continue to enter the game the lag starts. Another thing we have found out is that if one of us tabs out of the game (Even though the game is still running) the lag stops. Again, we've been playing this game since release and never had this issue. we played at the start of the new season and never had an issue. We've tried everything to fix it without any luck. We may be the only people with this problem. I've downloaded the game on Steam and Origin, downloaded a VPN in order to try to fix it. Nothing works. It's not our internet speeds because we've always been able to play the game. This is the second time I've made a post about this issue. Again, this issue only occurs once both people are tabbed into the game, Our internet is fine, Never had this issue before. This Started when Ash was introduced into the game. I cant remember the season. I've never had a game lag while someone is tabbed in then stops once someone tabs out. It's very odd. I've tried everything to fix it. Can it be an anti-cheat thing?

Hey @Perplexinn connection issues such as this are common when you have multiple consoles or PC on the same network attempting to play together

Can you try the following to see if it helps:

    • Log into your modem / router
    • Turn OFF UPNP.
    • Turn off PC UPnP Service:
    • Press: Windows-button a window should pop up. Write: “services.msc” (without the “) then press enter.
    • In the list of services, scroll down to “UPnP Device Host”, click it and press “Stop service”. Now do the same thing but with the service “SSDP Discovery”.
    • Exit the window and go to control panel-> Network and Internet-> Network and Sharing Centre-> Change advanced sharing settings (to the left)-> Under “network discovery” select to turn off network discovery
    • Save your changes

Let me know how you get on.

  • I have already tried this (on both PCs) without any luck. Again, we’ve never had this issue until now so I’m so confused.

I'd recommend speaking with your ISP and working with them to see what they can recommend @Perplexinn.
