I fixed it:
You have to clear your MAC address for anyone else encountering this issue.
Settings> Network> Network settings > Advanced > Clear MAC address.
Restart your Xbox when prompted.
since season 6 released, in game chat is not working. I tested other games and it is working fine. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and still no use. Any ideas would be great.
I am using my astro mix amp pro TR 2018 edition Gen 4. Up till today with no issues.

How does this keep happening?
It must be an issue with headsets/microphones and the drivers. Your MAC address fix worked on my issue; I could see my friend on ps5 voice symbol toggle but no sound (me on Xbox one x). So I hypothesize it’s the consoles mics failing to load firmware correctly into the apex game chat.
