What Defines a new Apex Account?
At the launch of apex legends, I downloaded the game on my Xbox. I played it for a few years until eventually migrating over to PC. Unfortunately, due to the lack of cross progression between versions, I stopped playing Apex Legends, as I wanted to maintain everything I had earned up to that point, and did not want to play with out it. Yesterday, I heard word that cross progression was coming to the game, and so I quickly installed it on my PC, using EA launcher, in anticipation of this release.
Upon logging in on my PC today, I was not met with the window allowing me to activate cross progression. This was to be expected. I had read on a blog post that it was to be rolled out over the coming weeks. In my eagerness to play Apex once more, I began to search for answers, to give myself more of an exact timeframe where I could merge my Xbox account with my PC. This is where I found out that "New Apex Legends accounts created after October 26th will not be eligible for cross progression". I'm simply curious what defines a 'new' account. As on my PC, when I logged in, I was still in the same club as I am on Xbox, and in the EA launcher, my Xbox account is linked to my EA account.
Will I be able to preform cross progression?
that just means any acc PROGRESS after the 26 wont get merged so for exp you can make a fresh steam acc link it to the EA acc that has xbox linked and you can play on steam with xbox skins and stuff. BUT anything you get on this new account after the 26 wont get merge like coins or apex packs
