That's not quite right
They never said there will be 3 maps.
Nor were there ever 3 maps present at once.
It's either Worlds Edge + Olympus - in S7, World's Edge + King's Canyon (before Olympus) or now Olympus + King's Canyon.
And they never said they will have 3 maps in the rotation. Quite the opposite, they said they will be taking World's Edge out for this rotation.
And when it comes to ranked, first split was in King's Canyon, second split is on Olympus.
They always made a rotation like that since introducing splits
So everything is how it always was. They didn't say they would do it in any different way.
