Why am I unable to add an Xbox child account as a cross play friend
I have an Xbox profile, my child has one under me. I play on PC, she plays on Xbox. Neither of us can add one another. I have done all of the troubleshooting from previous threads, xbox settings are fine, etc.
I cant create a club that we can both join either, bc Apex thinks we are the same player?
This can't possibly be the way it is. Doesn't make any sense.
Is there some work-around that I am missing?
There is no way for me to play the game with my own kid in my own house?? Come on.
Hey @scooots1013,
Are you both connected to the same EA Account, or does your daughter have her own child account?
While you're on PC and she's playing on Xbox, if you're both on the same EA Account that can lead to issues like what you're describing.
There's a bit more information about the restrictions to child accounts here, as well as the steps to convert a child account to a teen account depending on her age.
In this case it'd be best to make sure you're each playing on unique EA Accounts to avoid this situation. If you contact support directly they'll be able to take a closer look at the account to help determine what steps you may need to take for that to happen.
