Hi @Blewidescorpio,
Have you tried starting up your PC in a Clean Boot to see if that helps at all? If there's anything else running that might be interfering with the controller that could help get around it.
You can find more details on how to set up a Clean Boot over at the EA Help website. Let me know how that goes once you've had the chance to give it a shot.

- 5 years ago@EA_Kent I believe it's mostly due to connection into controller wearing out. Maybe wiggles a little as I play

Ah, I see. That's definitely possible. Were you able to test it with a different cable, or is it the actual port on the controller that's loose?

I ended up Gorilla Gluing it in place and the problem has been handled. There isn't a PS4 controller within a 36 mile radius, new or used. GameStop said Sony has been mostly focusing on trying to get a new wave of PS5.s out. I dunno, whatever. But I don't know why it would switch to Xbox controls and freeze up when the wire would lose connection, guess cause it isn't synced wirelessly and Windows just goes straight Microsoft with it. Either way the glue is working, it is ugly AF but I only care about winning my 1v1's which on Apex is usually 1v3's cause SBMM is trash
