why is my spot shadow detail not disabling?

my spot shadow detail isnt disabling? everytime i want to disable it, it goes back to low when i go back to my settings? and when i changed the config files, my game wont start in fullscreen, forcing me to change it to full screen, forcing my spot shadow detail to go back? pls fix this bug istg

@dislikebutton Force disable it within the json file, when done just put the file in read-only. Go to Saved Games > Respawn > search for videoconfig.cfg > everything named "shadow" set to 0
