Will cross progression unban my PC account or Ban my PlayStation?

In August of this year while trying to log into Apex legends on my new PC for the first time ever, It said that I was banned (Might be cause of hack, because my KDA was at 6.0 and account at level 10...

    Hey @Cesar_Dbzkai,

    Cross Progression itself will not remove an existing ban on accounts, nor will it cause an account to be automatically banned.

    If your account was banned incorrectly or due to an account compromise, you'll want to get in touch with our Terms of Service team here to appeal that ban. 

    If you've been playing on PlayStation you'll be able to continue playing after the Cross Progression migration, unless there are any new actions placed on the account at that point.

Thank you for replying, now i do want to ask, it shows my linked steam account is banned, however, when i use the normal EA launcher to play Apex legends, it still lets me play on PC, i just cant play through steam, so will my cross progression work through the normal EA launcher on PC just not steam? or would i be able to unlink that steam account and link a new one? this is my last question

Hi @Itzphoeeniix,

That certainly shouldn't be happening, are you logged into the same EA account with each?

If you're banned on a certain platform, that won't be merged regardless of whether your PC account was played on Steam or the EA app.

In the case of a banned Steam account, you won't be able to replace that with a new one as each EA account can only have one account of each platform linked over its lifetime.

    Final thing, so when i found out about cross progression, i went to link a steam account to my EA account, this current EA account is not banned on steam, but i accidentally linked the banned steam account and i want to link my non banned steam account, this whole "one link per lifetime" is very restriciting and unforgiving for people, if i created a support ticket could i possibly get it unlinked so i can link my correct steam account? or will you guys just say no because you would like people to spend more money on seperate accounts in the long run

      Hi @Itzphoeeniix,

      I'm afraid we aren't able to help get around bans, which would include unlinking a banned account to allow a new one to be linked.

      This wouldn't be something support can assist with, sorry.

        Not even if the wrong account was linked? You guys dont believe in second chances? i was a kid when i got banned because i made a stupid choice and now that i have spent over 4k$ on your game on my xbox, you wont allow me to bring it to pc and spend even more on the same account Because the WRONG steam account was linked? THIS ea account that i am currently on has never recieved an account ban on any platform, ive had communication ban but not account ban, the steam account has been banned for a long time at this point, support and ea should be alittle more forgiving than forcing people into a LIFETIME link
