Win7 dropped?
Can we get some clarification from respawn on use of windows 7 after the last patch as I haven't been able to login since thursday last week now.

Do note that support for Win7 has been discontinued by Microsoft.
This puts your computer at a great security risk.
Now a recent update has messed up some things, this will probably be fixed in the next patch.
Though if this is not the case, then it might be likely that Apex is dropping Win7 support.

Removing unverified drivers has fixed this for some users, though this isn't a fix that has been reported to work 100% of the time.
@XHelperZ, I get that Windows 7 support is discontinued, and that compromises security. But I'm hoping it's unlikely that Respawn/EA would intentionally abandon it's Apex players running Windows 7 without some sort of communication or notification in advance. Or, at least they shouldn't. Especially ones that have paid money into the game. It appears that a lot of people are having this issue and it still warrants a resolution somehow, other than just "update your OS". If that's the official response from Respawn/EA, then so be it. But that is going to frustrate a sizable piece of their player base.
Yeah you're probably correct on that front, they probably would let us know in advanced.
This could mean 2 things:
- An unintended byproduct
- Already dropping support early whilst it was meant for another update
I think it's the former, so hopefully we can hear something about it soon, as there hasn't been an announcement about this yet.
I just want to know if i HAVE to update my win 7 to win 10 in order to play the game...
