Matchmaking Really annoying

Hello,I am writing to express my deep frustration regarding the current state of Ranked matchmaking on PS5, which has made the game unplayable for solo players.Once I reach Platinum, the matchmaking becomes systematically unfair 95% of the time:Teammates skill gap: I am constantly paired with solo teammates who lack basic tactical awareness. They do not drop together, do not play as a team, and push fights blindly as if they were in casual lobbies.Unfair opponents: Against my uncoordinated team, the system consistently puts us against full, coordinated 3-man premade squads. These squads often consist of high-tier players (former Masters/Predators) or players abusing Horizon configurations combined with hardware scripts like Cronus.Broken progression: As a result, climbing ranks past Platinum as a solo queue player is mathematically impossible unless you completely ruin your K/D ratio or spend the entire match hiding ("camping").The current system heavily punishes solo players and rewards unfair advantages. Please, review the matchmaking algorithms for single players and enforce stricter anti-cheat controls against hardware scripts on consoles. Playing like this makes no sense anymore.Thank you.

  • Only true words, Ea really open your eyes. The game is full of players with scripts like Cronus or Titan super obvious and you do nothing. What do you do? Are you sleeping?

Thanks for the feedback Dado94x, I generally solo queue as well. There are definitely a lot of solo players that get past Plat every season, but it's a tough climb compared to running with a couple consistent friends to be sure.

We are actually running a test starting next week that should have a pretty big impact on the premade squads aspect once you're getting towards those higher tiers. Please let us know how things are looking once that kicks in and you've had a chance to try a few matches with that system!

Thank you for the reply! It's great to hear that a test is coming to address premade squads in higher tiers, and I will definitely test it and provide feedback.
However, I need to point out two major flaws with this approach from a Solo Queue perspective:
    • Platinum vs Diamond: Historically, these matchmaking adjustments and stricter rules only kick in from Diamond rank upwards. The problem is that the "brick wall" for solo players starts right at Platinum. If this new test doesn't apply to Platinum lobbies, Solo Queue players will remain stuck in the exact same frustrating loop before they can even dream of reaching Diamond.Hardware Cheating and Smurfs: Even if you separate solo players from 3-man squads, the core issue remains unaddressed. Solo lobbies are completely plagued by:Hardware Scripts (Cronus, Titan, Strike Pack): Many console players abuse zero-recoil scripts, especially combined with Horizon's movement, creating a completely unfair playing field that anti-cheat systems seem to ignore.Smurf Accounts: High-tier players creating new accounts just to stomp lower lobbies, ruining the ranking progression.Separating squads is a good step, but unless there is a serious, hard restriction on hardware cheats (Cronus) and smurfing starting directly from Platinum, playing solo will still feel unrewarding and deeply unfair.
Looking forward to seeing if the upcoming test will actually cover Platinum as well!
