- @BizzyVaping According to PSN itself, 26.2% have the PS5 level 25 trophy down from 46.9% with the level 15 trophy.
24.3% have the PS4 level 25 trophy, down from 50% with the level 15 trophy.
This is a pretty good indicator. I remember it was way worse for Battlefront 2 on PS4. Less than 10% had the level 25 trophy during its first year, while over 50% had the trophy for finishing the campaign. That was a clear indicator of how fans pretty much rejected the launch multiplayer. Later they recovered those numbers when they added Supremacy and Co-op. VAst majority of BF players don't launch through Steam including pc players. So this data doesn't say anything.
EA/DICE killed this game on Xbox.
- They removed the ability to turn off crossplay inside the game menu
- No mouse and keyboard support on Xbox, but are forced to play against PC mouse players sitting in magic gaming chairs
Meanwhile PlayStation players disabled crossplay inside the game and are having fun playing against other console players using a controller.
- @lzilchetl I do not want to play with m/kb on top of people buying hacks on pc. And yes my guy hacks already exist for pc players to purchase. Its just not main stream because this game is garbage at this time.
- @OskooI_007 Thats why we need Xbox and PS crossplay only. it would benefit the game. PC is always the larger player base so they should always have players to populate servers.
Curious how this weeks patch helps the game. - @ArchAngeL-PCX I just dont think its a good indicator tbh. Everyone I know who bought it are still playing, but barely anyone has reached level 25 yet.
- @ghinavirus I believe PS is by far the largest player base.
It's PC and X-Box that are relatively speaking quite small in comparison.
I get why Cross Play sucks at the moment for X-Box players but in terms of longevity it should be of benefit to both platforms.
Apart from obviously playing with friends Cross Play offers little to the PS player base. - @BizzyVaping Are you sure your XP progression isn't bugged?
I've put in 8 hours worth of my 10 hour trial since launch and I'm at level 20.
That seems a little fast compared to previous titles.
None of my mates have bothered with 2042 so I've already progressed this far without a good squad. If you have friends that play then you should be progressing faster? It does not matter how many leave the game, They already made their money off of those people. and most of them will just blindly pre order the next BF title when they see the cool hype video.
Its a endless cycle of disappointment for the fans because they really want a new great BF game, and a endless stream of cash grabs for the people who are exploiting those fans with hype videos of broken games that are just bad.
want things to change, stop buying this crap. the open beta alone can save you money take advantage of that.
Yeah but in every game the player count is droping even the strange news which is comparing Farming Simulator 22 with BF2042 is already dropping numbers
and i had no problem to find a game since early acces and cross play of on pc (EU region)
and there where only a handful games which are not full so i think this there still a enough player who playing it
and i had only two DX12 erros in 120h so ist quite stable for me^^
I'm looking forward what the next patch will bring us^^
