@akula_rI agree with you about committing to the match, however the issues you are describing are better attributed to the match making system which has the correlating effect of causing players to leave, rather than the players leaving for no reason at all.
Also mentioned in a previous post, having a match preview, like what we have had in previous Battlefield server browsers, can help some players in deciding which game to join instead of wasting time.Personally, I am the same as you... when I commit, I am all-in. Unless there is a cheater present, at which point I report, then leave.
I'm not sure what type of punishment you thinking of. But as i remember back in the days in BF4 as i saw on Battlelog stats, a match where you left before it even ended (cause you didn't want to lose), was counted as a "lost" match anyways.
So something like this sounds more than enough for me, if it would just be counting like that also for stats in BF 2042.
Beside that, some people maybe didn't want to leave. Who knows.
Maybe their internet connection died, or anything else happened.
Greets,
Trav

Not a massive fan of punitive punishments for what could be as a result of 'life'.
The 'quit' star was enough......

The first 6 montths following launch, my "quit" was up to around 45% from random disconnects. Nothing like starting your BF4 career in a nice deep hole.

Didn't BF1 count "deserting" as a loss? I'm not too sure what it was like with V.
lol, in NHL, I see teams/players with a DISC % in the high 30's+, ridiculous... - carsono3114 years agoSeasoned Ace@TTZ_Dipsy I do not think it did... I think you would just adopt your team's result regardless. Could be wrong on this of course, it has been a minute.
- ElliotLH4 years agoHero+@DiceUprise Oh I know, I was just joking around with that comment.
- @Trokey66 Agreed. There are enough legit reasons why someone would need to leave or disconnect that any sort of punishment feels... wrong? I’m competitive and I like to win but at the end of the day, it’s just a game.
- OkamiToge4 years agoSeasoned Ace@SANDM4N_1979 I'm more annoyed that the server even allows you to join when the match is about to end in a few minutes or letting you right when the you lose screen pops up with the scoreboard.
- @Boba_Brett711 yup i play to win
