So, the other day while playing breakthrough on manifest on Hong Kong servers I found a cheater for the first time in BF2042. This cheater had wallhacks and aimbot. I actively tried to sneak up on him just to see whether he was actually cheating. The guy just hit a 360 no scope headshot out of nowhere. Mind you I was crouch walking so the footsteps weren’t loud. He could obviously see me sneak up on him. Well, this was my personal experience, now onto the actual point of making this thread. Here is evidence that the cheats are ramping up. This video was posted by Neon PWA, a well known battlefield Youtuber who was contacted by a cheater, so that the cheater could showcase his cheats live on Neon’s stream. I hope DICE removes crossplay between consoles and PC or better just add input based matchmaking, so that atleast the console players don’t become innocent victims. Please be aware of what's being shared to avoid accidentally driving more traffic to those sites, even if that wasn't the intention here. If you encounter these types of individuals in your games, the best thing to do is what that YouTuber mentioned he'd already done and report them with these steps if you're unable to do so in-game. @Huntnwabits The "no naming and shaming" rule is very common on many forums, for good reasons - it protects users against the false accusations (which are not uncommon) and also protects reporters, so they won't become a target just because they reported somebody. That's why it's better to use proper channels and ways for such reports. There is nothing wrong with that rule.

It boggles me why doesn't game perform small security change patch on a daily basis.

Just a fyi there is a max stat mod out now i have ran into several rank 5,000 players showing off red badges they are always spawn trapping a team somewhere

@DanielRicciardo Cheating is inevitable. Reporting (as everyone mentioned) is really the only way to help mitigate the problem but it will never be fully eradicated in games. Even consoles aren't protected from it. .....ever heard of Chronos? It's a big reason why I prefer co-op and solo games these days and one reason I spend nearly all my time in Portal in this one. I'd rather play with or against people and bots I know aren't cheating. It's a shame but it's really no fun going against folks who have an unfair advantage. It got so bad in CoD:MW (2019) we all left the game. IMO, Portal was a brilliant move by EA/DICE and the only reason I bought BF2042.

Cheating is inevitable. Reporting (as everyone mentioned) is really the only way to help mitigate the problem but it will never be fully eradicated in games. Even consoles aren't protected from it. .....ever heard of Chronos?
It's a big reason why I prefer co-op and solo games these days and one reason I spend nearly all my time in Portal in this one. I'd rather play with or against people and bots I know aren't cheating. It's a shame but it's really no fun going against folks who have an unfair advantage. It got so bad in CoD:MW (2019) we all left the game.
IMO, Portal was a brilliant move by EA/DICE and the only reason I bought BF2042.

The issues with the current state of the game, bad hit detection, no real spectator cam, and no scoreboard makes it almost impossible to know if anyone is cheating.
Unless they are doing 360 degree obvious rage hacking and you happen to see the kill feed with the same name, Seriously how can we tell otherwise.

@DanielRicciardo I have had to turn crossplay off due to this, i have never encountered a hacker till now, mostly in the sky with an aimbot, hopefully the report button does something at this point

@tom_looken That's the thing about hacks these days too. Most hacks have so many variables they can fine tune, it makes those easy to hide. Unless the do the obvious rage hack, or as you just pointed out just boost stats. It seems like there is no limit to what they can do these days. Multiplayer games will just die off at the rate hacks are being developed.
So much for playing games for fun.

@tom_looken 5000? Wow. EA should look at those "rank 5,000" players and determine if that rank was earned legitimately. If not, those players should be deleted and perma-banned.

@ChugKendallThey are not rank 5000, they are S001-100. When you reach lvl 99 you go up in prestige, an S is added before the number. But for the Hacks issue, the game needs the table of scores urgently or it will be impossible to make reports efficiently, currently it is very difficult to catch cheats and the only guide would be the casualties that currently cannot be seen.
