The APS sentinel issue is easily solved by either equiping an EMP grenade, or equiping the Rao speciliast who can hack these.

Anyway, as to your other point, adding more close quarters (or did you mean encounters) maps, this game is at the end of its lifecyle. Battlefield 6 is literally around the corner with the multiplayer gamplay reveal this week. Meaning there will be no more development put into BF2042, this means no more new content.
