Hits don't equal kills. Why so uneven. BF4 took 3 hits to kill. This game I don't know. Seems like I hit 10 times and the enemy shoots back and kills me in one hit. I spend 95% of the time dead in this game. I played BF4 for 7 years and this game for 7 months now. It ain't that I'm bad, it's the uneven hit to kill ratio. The game is bad.

@WasupwitdatHit registration is utter garbage. You see on your screen you see 10 hits but the game only recognizes 3 hits.
I really think it's the crossplay coding. There is something fundamentally wrong with it. As every time I have kill issues its 90% of the time its a crossplay target.
When I've been in matchs normally small game mode matchs like TDM when the bulk of the players were just series x players there were no issues hitting them but as soon as a pc player was in the fight it took 2 to 3x more rounds.
My only thought is there is a major underlying issue with the crossplay netcode.
The crossplay and going to 128player has been the biggest blunder in BF history.. more so then specialists.- 3 years ago@xXHappy_PuppyXx I don't think it's a cross play issue (or at least not entirely) as we had the same issues with BFV on PlayStation.
Wiser heads than mine debated the issue on the old forum and a general consensus was reached that it was the new Amazon Servers not being optimal for a Battlefield game.- 3 years ago@BFB-Praetorian That's odd I've never had these issues with BFV.. now all bf games had general latency and server issues at release but this isnt that. There is no character warping and other signs of latency.
I can with dang near 100% accuracy know instantly that I'm in a fight with a pc player do to hit registration. It's to consistent not to have some issue with crossplay.

Yesterday I played 2 rounds of solo breakthrough to try out the AS VAL and get the extended mags for it. I had hitreg problems there as well and all I did was shooting bots that were computed on the server instance. So no, crossplay is not to blame for the bad hitreg (at least not entirely).

Having the same issue since season 1 started as well
- Mackstan713 years agoSeasoned Ace@Wasupwitdat I and others have the same problem, it's totaly unplayable atm.

There is some major desync or hit reg problem. Almost every time I am killed by a single enemy, it is an instant kill. This could even be after I unload an entire magazine, then they whip around and I am dead (from a Headshot no less).
It has a lot to do with the server tick rate, which is unacceptable for 2022.

I feel exactly the same on PC.
Many times I feel like "okay enemy must be dead by that amount of bullets I shot" and change my target to the next when I realise the first one is still alive and kills me.
It never felt so weird in any other shooter game for me. BF5 had similar issues but not that bad.
When I shoot like 6 bullets into an enemy he MUST be dead. Regardless the range I fight him when its an AR and he has no armor plates.
- 3 years ago@Wasupwitdat I have the same problem, I play on PS5, everything about gun fight in this game is terrible, I'm just like you, get killed most of the time, I'm a decent battlefield player, there is no way I'm this bad.

No clue where where hit red was tonight.
It was a cmplete joke.
Guy runs past, half a clip into him equals nothing, fully 2 metres behind wall he shoots me.
I genuinely have no clue where people actually are on my screen.- 3 years ago
Two situations (since the patch):
1.) I play with my ~12ms (128P CQ) on the EU servers (AWS in Frankfurt). Almost every encounter with the "enemy" just feels weird. It's like the opponent is playing with superhuman responsiveness. Either I fall down instantly or I need almost a whole magazine for a single opponent. If someone shoots me, escape or defense is practically impossible! The gameplay feels like playing in the past. Difficult to describe.
2.) I turn on my VPN and connect to a server in Eastern Europe or Western Asia. Depending on the server, my ping is then 70ms (via Bulgaria) up to 150ms (via Turkey/Israel). The strange thing: the higher the ping, the better everything feels. Even walking and moving. 2-3 bullets and the opponent is broken. I'm being shot at and I can reasonably escape and defend myself. WTF!?
High-Ping == Good
DICE destroyed BF2042 for me.

Same problem for me, shot a player in the back and it didn't register. He turned around and killed me. Hit reg in this game is broken.
And sometimes i get killed by players that dosen't even aim at me.
- 3 years ago@Wasupwitdat your original post is exactly what is happening with me. I have used up to 21 rounds to kill a player and like you said, when I don't kill them, they whip around and I am one-shot, headshot (and for me, always by a Console player).
To me there is a huge de-sync between the client and the server. We need 60hz tick rates with low pings.
