@Bravš¤ne-PCI will go ahead and lay out the follow-on replies:
1. It was made clear upfront that the technical playtest, and any playtest for that matter, is not the finished product and has known bugs. Others will remind you of this as well.
2. The true cause for the delay is not known, however it can be inferred from the official message that some elements of the game are not where the team wants them to be.
3. Other players, forum moderators, and CMs will likely follow and reinforce the above as well as the fact that the playtest was not the latest build of the game.
Everyone is a bit disappointed in the delay, but adding more speculation is not helpful. - Prep7684 years agoSeasoned Veteran
Agree with #2 but thankfully the op didn't use the term 'we, the community"......

Lets hope the beta comes in the first of October
This can only mean they are adding mod support so I can create Desert Combat 2 and save Battlefield.
- BravoOne-PC4 years agoSeasoned Rookie@carsono311 Point 3, of couse they will. Point 2, im telling you the reason. You literally are confirming the message im sending, point 1, the playtest of course wasnt done, duh. but the state of it was bad which is all im saying.
Lastly idk why people still have so much faith in EA or DICE for that matter time and time again posts like mine tried to warn the community and time and time again the community doesnt listen and we get games like BFV - lzilchetl4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Bravš¤ne-PC What do you want the community to do after listening to you? Its like buying a house, you have no control, you either relax and go with the flow or walk away... either way it's not worth fretting over.

There are two main areas that may cause the delay.
- technical issues
- conceptional issues
Category 1 can be fixed with man power, but you could easily communicate about it, and use the obscure knowledge and experience of the battlefield crowd
Category 2 may require a lot more man power, and you maybe don't even want to discuss the potential options, since it may have a major impact on the monetization strategy
So since the last 30 days were dead silent, I go with conceptional issues, and I hope additionally 30 days are enough.
- Fringerunner4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Bravš¤ne-PC You've looked at the footage released of gameplay before and after the tech test right?
Just trying to figure out how you came to the conclusion based on the only comparative information you could use.
Don't get me wrong, on the off chance someone in EA/dice though they'd get a pat on the back from the state of the tech demo they deserve to get some interesting "feedback", but absolutely nothing indicates that.
Also, this would be a lot easier to shoot down if the tech test could be discussed on here, but it can't.
We're reaching a damn infinity loop on this topic on the forum, but at this point, if i had a say in it, I'd just drop the NDA on the tech test so this particular bugbear could be squashed.
In *no* way a "oh everything's fine" post, but the use of the tech test as a beating stick is about the least useful indicator. - OkamiToge4 years agoSeasoned Ace
*Glances over sadly at PS5 that didn't get to try it*
In all seriousness though, they moved their release to the same month as CoD Vanguard which seems like a dumb move. And the leakers are the ones who probably forced their hand to finally damn say something, definitely not giving dice a pat on the back when their communication has been non existent besides announcing the delay.
I think they bit off way more than they can chew adding PC to the crossplay.
